Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / MCD 3300 Fans Alarm
« on: January 04, 2017, 11:53:41 AM »
I have an MCD that is occasionally giving a FANS alarm, either for one, or both fans.

They were actually replaced a few months ago due to an actual fan failure (swapped both while we were in there). However, when this error pops up, I can see with my eyes that both fans are active. The alarm will come and go. I don't think there's a way I can reset that status is there?

Sounds like the "Path Unavailable Answer Point Directory Number" isn't set, or set to an incorrect number.

You can also record a RAD Set via the integrated admin mailbox.  Assign extensions to the rest of your integrated VM ports (leaving port 2 for the RAD), then put them in a hunt group. Then you can dial in to the hunt group and select the admin mailbox, enter password, then follow prompts.

I experienced an issue with windows 10 and iPhone users being unable to use UCA (MiCollab) because of the outdated security in 5.0. As lowradiation says, SP2 is not compatible with the new MiCollab. You'll need to upgrade to 6.0 SP3 first, but really if you do that you should go to 7, unless you're still using perihperal nodes.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: MiVoice Business Backup Failure

I know it sounds silly, but I've received this when the server I am backing up to ran out of storage space so the backup couldn't complete.

Since you're only rerouting to VM at night, can you add 620000 as an alternate extension on the 690000 mailbox in the Nupoint?

« on: December 22, 2016, 02:59:18 PM »
First of all I want to thank you for taking your time to help me with this problem. I did what you suggested which was from my mobile phone I called my DID number. On the display that the calls are getting forwarded to it has the following:
At the very top of the display it has my mobile number, under that it has my name and under that it has “Forward Call”

Another thing I tried was to forward the phone to another extension or to voicemail. I did this to see if it would not keep forwarding to the other persons (my boss) extension but when I tried to do that the display on my phone said “The activation of your call forwarding profile failed.”

So I went under “Users and Devices” and “Advanced Configuration” and “Call forwarding profile” and deleted my entry. In the entry that I deleted was not the phone that calls are getting forwarded to. Deleting is entry did not fix it. Now when I go to Call Forward and edit or activate it the message I get is still “The activation of your call forwarding profile failed.”

Thanks in advance for your help. I hate being a newbie but someday I will be helping other newbies.

I have seen "the activation of your call forwarding profile failed" when the options under "HCI" in your Class of Service are set to "No". If they are already set to "Yes" I have also seen it be resolved by changing those options to "No," saving and letting it sync, then back to "Yes" and save again.

Are their status in the client configured correctly for "in the office" and "out of the office?" If they have a personal ring group and both cell and softphone are checked in each status I could see this happening.
