If this is an after hours thing with only one agent involved, I might consider making the "Queue Unavailable Answer Point" a System Speed call that points to the cell number.

The user has a desk phone and UC360 Conference Phone so I may look in to the DND route via speedcalls on the phone. Thanks for the idea!

Do you have an extension 9180 or 1800?

If it has a dialing prefix in there it may be trying to insert the 9 unbeknownst to the user.

One time during a long install week I read a cabling vendor the riot act because I thought a jack wasn't tested and terminated, even though they said it was on their paperwork.

Turns out I was plugging the IP phone in by the built in switch port and not the network port.

I second mszodiac about the SDS issues.

Although I have had different releases of the same version in clusters without too many issues. For instance 6.0 SP2 and 6.0 SP3 sync ok in the same cluster. However, I wouldn't do this with 6.0 SP3 and 7.0.

However, even this isn't without some problems. For instance, the latest version of MiCollab requires a specific release of 6.0 SP3 and above.

Hello,

I have a weird issue on an Axxess system. We have a DKSC16+ card in the system with a digital patch panel connected, if I plug a phone directly into the patch panel it works fine however if you plug the phone into the desk where the cable is ran to then it doesn't power on.

The strange this is, these where all working fine before at the desks - nothing has changed.

Any ideas?

You might have to follow your riser/tie cable. Sounds like something got cut.

With the 512MB units, any idea as to the highest release we can go up to? We're about to test 8.0 on the 512MB units.

I've been told that 8.0 will run on MXeIII/CXII with 512MB of RAM. I will be interested to know how your tests go. "It will run" and "It will run well" are two distinctly different statements and  I didn't consider asking the second part.

If it's the wrong set type it will eventually lock out too and you'll have to unplug and plug it back in. For instance I know this one guy, we'll call him "HuluScalpa," who almost pulled his hair out trying to pin a 5320e when it was programmed in the MCD as a 5320.

Interesting... I programmed an entire system wrong once using 5330 instead of 5330e (what the phones were)... Phones came up fine, still running that way today as far as I know with all the extensions programmed as 5330 but running 5330e sets.

These 2 are basically the same and it will allow it, but not for dissimilar sets

Now I question my own sanity...
