Hi,

we have a rad greeting setup on our phone system and i've tried to login to the administrator voicemail mailbox to change this RAD but it asks me for the mailbox password. I've tried what i documented but it doesnt like this. How in the console can i change this pin to gain access?

Hi,

I have a 5312 handset that message light constantly flashes. When i press the envelope button it doesn't go anywhere. When i dial into the voicemail it says i have no messages.
I've deleted the voice mail from this extension. Then rebooted and re-applied but the light remains flashing. I've gone as far as deleting the extension and re-setting up the phone again and as soon as its active the message light flashes. :'(

Is there a command or something that can indicate where the problem lies?

Hi,

We have 3 members of staff that have moved onsite. Their original number externally is set to ring a phone onsite here. They would like all 3 phones to ring simultaneously though rather than just the one phone? Then after 4 rings diverting to answerphone on any of the phones?

1. Please can you advise the best way of setting this up?
2. Can the number of rings before going to answerphone be reduced? seems around 8-10 rings at present?
3. Does the voicemail have to be left on 1 handset or can it vary?

Hi Ralph,

We only have 5312 and 5324 handsets onsite but can confirm it is every phone.

Basically if a phone that has been in use since this morning and has been working fine and gets unplugged and reconnected it seems to hang on the boot screen it set - 192.168.0.xx and ICP 192.168.0.xx
So currently i dare not touch any more working phones else will have the same issue. Any new phones i want to setup (that have been used in the past just removed when staff have left etc..) they all hang at the same screen. Its as though a MAC address or DHCP limit?

I've added phones back on our network that were last on around a year ago. No additional phones than what has been setup int he past. I noticed a user had a phone issue when looking at the phone it was stuck on the SET and ICP IP address screen on boot. When i rebooted a phone that was working that too then got stuck on the ICP SET display.
The phone system is a Mitel 3300 and the handsets are 5312's. Any idea what can be causing this?

I'm 99% certain PRI from recalling seeing that on the phones system somewhere in the past. Can i verify withing this console if need be?

Hi,

We have a mitel 3300 phone system and all the DN's who call out go through our main switchboard number. So when calling customers and there is no answer when they do a 1471 they receive the switchboard number. They will then call this and reception are taking many calls and trying to figure out who was the original callers.

Is there a way of having caller ID on all the phones when going out externally instead of just showing the switchboard number? Or is there a way of blocking the ID so will prevent contacts knowing who the missed call was and calling reception to confuse them!

I keep getting -

LOGSYS warning: No more entries for SMDR log.                                   
LOGSYS info: READ completed for SMDR log with 14082 entries. 

And when i do ever get results it seems to be a different directory number that i specified?

command i am using is - LOGSYS READ smdr NEWEST 20000 MATCH 2422 

*(2422 being an internal dn here)

Thanks for the command. It appears to be providing the information. Did check the COS/Trunks and SMDR was enabled for external.

Do i have to run it on a extension at a time basis then? or can i do it from the directory number range and allow it to run. Like you say it looks like alot of filtering in excel will be required.

Does this record incoming and outgoing to the extension number also?

Hi,

I have a query if it is possible to see the total number of calls that have gone through our mitel 3300 phone system. Or even better if it can be see via an individual phone extension?

Would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction on the management console.

Thanks for the reply.

If i dial that voice mail i noticed you can pass it on to another ext. Since testing you have to leave a comment etc... so bit long winded and useless! But hoping i could extend the 100 max. It was set as 50 as default buy highest it would accept was 100.

I can't do the forward to email unfortunately due to the network set up here as would have been a great solution. phones are on a 192 address and exchange server is on a 10.x
Was hoping it could be increased or maybe this single user can have 2 mailbox if that can be done?

Hi,

We have a 3300 system and setup a record a call facility that is working great. I noticed on the system maximum i could it to was 100? is there a way to increase this at all?
I notice i can send the message to an alternative number is that the only way around it?

Hi guys thanks for the info the engineer for the mitel system couldn't find any faults our side but could see slips and frame losses so referred it to the telco. The telco engineer found and issue with a twisted pair at the local exchange. Having repaired this the problems has gone away and no alerts on my system for a day or so now.

Hi i'm having problems with our phone system where by calls are being dropped intermittently. The call quality seems slightly degraded also?

On looking at the error logs i can see every now and then it has a major alarm then a few seconds later will go back to showing no alarm and all fine. Some of the diag logs since a full reboot are shown below - I notice D-Channel keeps reporting going UP and Down.

I've reported to BT who have checked the line and referred it back to a Mitel local phone system issue. I know they pretty much always say this! Hopefully the errors below will indicate where the problem lies?

Thanks very much for the update.

Just one more query! The 4 users that are in the record a call COS. I would like their line manager to be able to have access to the voice recordings. Do I need to make changes to add her phone or can she just dial the 7042 voice mail and listen to them?
