Can you successfully backup a database out of a 3300 CX and restore it into a 3300 LX without any additional programming needed?

I remember a binary comparison tool I had used to get the password from a system. How I figured it out was that I was able to change a password as a maint1 log in but could not get into the installer account. Seeing the only change between to two I was able to manually change the binary digits next to it and restored the database and log into the installer.

I for some reason don't have that program and can't even remember it's name.

ps the database I was using was a Kermit back up too.

I ended the scan early but the program did show me what it had recovered so far. It was definitely the vm partition, it listed the vox files and others. So I am going to leave it to it's scan. If this does work then I can boot this system up on a spare controller (do some sys id magic) and do a full backup. If the sys id is an issue I'll go to the customer site and boot the system up and do a full back up and replace the hd, and do a restore.

The hard drive part number is 50004151. I removed the jumper so it will act as a slave drive on the same ribbon as my cdrom.  I am able to see all 4 partitions, /sysro    /db   /no label (issue partition and /spare.

Using a product called "Recover My Files v4" to try and recover the partition but it seems to be coming up with "LostFile_EXE_#####.exe"

If this doesnt work i am thinking of deleting that partition and doing a flash upgrade to repair it, they will loost all vmail but i can then backup the database at least.

Is there anyway to recover a partition on a 200 ICP? The system boots up to...

Disk Configuration Started.
Creating block device for controller  0 drive 0... done.
Creating CBIO device for controller  0 drive 0... done.
Attaching to partition table for 4 partitions on controller 0 drive 0... done.
Creating Cache Layer for partition 0 (/back1) on controller 0 drive 0... done.
Creating Cache Layer for partition 1 (/back2) on controller 0 drive 0... done.
Creating Cache Layer for partition 2 (/back3) on controller 0 drive 0... done.
Creating Dos FS device for partition 0 (/back1) on controller 0 drive 0... done.
Creating Dos FS device for partition 1 (/back2) on controller 0 drive 0... done.
Creating Dos FS device for partition 2 (/back3) on controller 0 drive 0... done.
Opening partition 0(/back1) on controller 0 drive 0... done.
Opening partition 1(/back2) on controller 0 drive 0... done.
Opening partition 2(/back3) on controller 0 drive 0...

And after a while it will error out and continue, then it shows that the VMAIL partition is unreadable.  There has to be a way to wipe that partition clean and reload the software onto it using the flash card with an upgrade. We basically want to recover the DB off of it.  Tempted to put the hd into my computer, install Ubuntu, and see what I can read the partitions.

dp access code + extension
dp access code + * pages all phones (must be set to be allowed to be page in cos)
dp access code + 0+page group number + # (at our office it's *7 + 01 + # this pages every phone in paging group 1)
dp access code + # pages all phones in your home paging group

In addition to this, at my site we already have route lists going to a choice 1 and 2. Now we want to route calls from two phones to go out on only a specific analog trunk.

I create two cors 25 and 26 and two trunk groups 25 and 26, i blocked cor 25 and 26 from default cor 1, also blocked cor 1/26 from cor 25, and 1 and 25 from cor 26. then i create two more routes 25 - 26 to go out the correct trunks accordingly (tg 25/26).

so in the route lists first choice goes to route 1, second to route 2 (local/long distance routes). for 3rd i placed route 25, and 4th route 26.  thinking that any phone in cor 25 will skip past route 1, 2 and hit route 25, and cor 26 will bypass the first 3 and go out 26.  But I am getting a access denied when pressing start digit 9. Is there anything I am missing?

I have a client with a 3300 running rel 9.0 and they just upgraded their computers to vista and windows 7.  They have 5200 series phones on their desk with the computer's patched into the back of them. Now I have watched this with my own eyes but when they reboot or turn off their computer it causes the phone to reset itself.  Has anyone else experienced this?

We have a customer with a MCD 4.1 rel using analog trunks. They would like these trunks to ring on incoming calls on the receptionist's phone and if she is unable to answer it in turn forwards to auto attendant.  In the 200 ICP I know how to configure this but I am new to the 3300/MCD and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or experience with this.

I am trying to remember what I had to do. I think I went into internet options, added the address for the controller in then trusted sites, and in trusted site i changed all the options to low.  Also downloading and installing the mitel certificate doesn't hurt either.

Ever called a business and you don't hear a ring back? You dial the number and the first thing you hear is the auto attendant? How is that accomplished in the 3300/MCD? Or is it something the service provider sets?

The problem was Auto Answer. When that option is turned on group listen will not work.

Is it possible to change the telephone directory greeting option from 9 to another digit?
