Looks like its changed a bit since I did it last time. I have just tried it using an MST also, but just doing that field I told you about previously didnt work for me. I ended up adding a new line to the Property table with UC_SERVER_HOSTNAME as the property name and the FQDN of the UC server as the value.

I changed the value under reg4D02C0251EF719E799597E32C8627BF3 on the registry table.

I dont know if there are any switches or arguments but I used Orca (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/255905) to edit the MSI file and add the server address and in my case change the language.

If you are using 64 bit office you won't get this option.

Has anyone had a go at setting this up? I am having trouble figuring out where to put the outgoing dialling prefix.

This sounds similar to a problem I had, in my case I had the wrong web conferencing name set in web conferencing settings.

Thanks Brantn, but are T.38 licenses required on the 3300 if the SIP provider and the SIP client support it?

How does it work for Nupoint?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Fax over SIP
« on: June 22, 2011, 07:38:22 PM »
I am looking for some advice on fax over SIP and when T38 is required. A customer has two scenarios, they are are using Nupoint for incoming and outgoing faxes and they also have a couple of Linksys SPA2102 for physical fax machines in a couple of branch offices both going over SIP trunks. I am told that the SIP trunk provider supports T38 and will use this as the preferred method but will fail back to G711 if not supported by the receiving device.

Does anyone have any experience with either and can help shed some light on what the rules are and when T38 is required please?

I think you have to set the call me phone number on the mailbox, you can do it in settings through the web portal.

Sounds like it might be getting its IP addresses from the Siemens DHCP server, you need to remove this if you want to use ip-helper

I had exactly the same problems, turned out to be the MS DHCP Server ignores the VLan tags. Try untagging the voice Vlan from the port the DHCP server is plugged into on the switch.

I think you have to put the extension number in the call me phone number in UM web view
