MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: System Admin and Diagnostics
« on: March 02, 2019, 03:07:29 PM »
That might be it.  I checked my backup database and it is off, so when I get back in on Monday I will check it on the live system.  Thanks.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / System Admin and Diagnostics
« on: March 01, 2019, 10:44:56 AM »
I am doing some preliminary work on a MiVoice 250.  I currently have the system sitting on my desk while I program it.  It will not let me access System Administration and Diagnostics.  I get an error that says, "AWS Webpage and Advanced System Monitoring are not available."  I can access Database Programming with no issues.  I upgraded the software to 6.3.7.78.  I also have another 250 right next to it with the same software version.  I can access SAD on that system with no problems whatsoever.  I am puzzled as to why it will work on one and not the other.  Any suggestions?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / 8528 Digital Phone
« on: February 20, 2019, 09:18:18 AM »
A customer has a MiVoice 250  with 40 digital phones and 90 analog phones.  The digital phones are all 8528's.  The operator has a PKMIM in her phone that is connected to a PKM 48.  Over the last couple of weeks her phone has been randomly getting stuck in a reboot cycle.  The customer tells me that the only way to stop this is to actually unplug the phone and plug it back in.  2 weeks ago the IT guy replaced the phone with one pf their spare phones.  The phone acted fine until yesterday when it  started the reboot cycle again.  They have also been receiving a lot of A101 errors.  This attached picture is one I captured this morning.  It could be a cable issue, it could be the jack, or it could be something with the PKM.  Has anyone else encountered anything like this?

Thanks for the feedback.  I think the customer is much better off with the 250, and I have conveyed that to them.  They asked me the question several times, so I am doing my diligence and finding answers for them.  They did not have a talk back paging unit.  They have had the system in for a month now and have gotten used to it, so I don't think it is an issue anymore.  I just want to be able to give them an intelligent answer if they ask again.

Ok, so we are looking at getting into the hospitality market.  Which is the premier hospitality product for Mitel the 3300, or the 400?  I can't find any training information about the 3300 on the Mitel website, but I can find the 400.

Thank you for the reply, but I am still looking for an answer to the question.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / 400 vs. 3000
« on: February 19, 2019, 02:29:58 PM »
What is the difference between the MiVoice 470 and the Mitel 3000, specifically regarding the hospitality features? Is it a case of the 400 replacing the 3000  like the 250 replaced the 5000?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Group Paging
« on: February 05, 2019, 11:20:44 AM »
I have a customer that used to have an Avaya Partner system, and just switched to a MiVoice 250.  They claim that on the Avaya system they could page to a group of phones and anyone on the other end could respond and a two way conversation could happen.  Now they want this on the MiVoice.  I have the page groups programmed, but that does broadcast only.  Is there a way to page or intercom multiple phones simultaneously and have them be able to answer back?

Thanks a lot.  That did the trick.  I appreciate it.

The customer currently has an Iwatsu VS which does allow for distinctive ringing on CO lines.  I tried the Secondary Call Key and it does work, except that I get a message that says "Please wait while your call is being transferred to Ext. XXXX.  Can this message be disabled on that Application Extension or is that a system wide recording.  My guess is that it is system wide and that if I change it that will affect every mailbox.

What about a case where a customer has lines appearing on the phones and the current phone system allows for distinctive ringing on trunks.  This customer has a line that rings differently because it is for a separate business.  From what I have been researching, the 250 does not have a way to allow distinctive ringing on trunks.  Does anyone have a work around?

Some of the analog extensions have mailboxes.  They all have an extension ID, a DID, and a user built for DEE.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Analog extensions on MiVoice 250
« on: July 23, 2018, 03:36:36 PM »
I am preparing to install a Mivoice 250 6.3 with 41 digital phones and 85 analog phones.  I can call in from outside and when the AA answers I can dial the extensions for digital phones, but any analog phone I try says invalid.  Why am I unable to reach analog phones from outside, but internal works fine?
