teleworker is direct mode always as the RTP is forced to stream via the MBG

the key setting is that the MiVCr needs to be set to direct mode and remove indirect from ICP on MBG
any internal fixed phones will have to be registered to a lan only MBG as the SRC.

MIVB and Micollab Can Only READ from AD

normal setup is AD admin adjusts ad with iphone details and user role ,then the micollab and mivb read that data in

not clear exactly what you are doing here
i will assume that you have an ACD micollab softphone
and you want to add an EHDA

- you need to add a new number to the user account as with the EHDU settings
I normally just do it in the MiVB =- add the EHDU as an ACD agent as well to the existing user
sync with MICC
user should then have 3 options when signing in
Deskphone Micollab softphone and EHDA( mobile)

34
add an email on the transfer failure option and include variables regarding the call
<<ani>> <<DNIS>> etc
we quite often find that the emails are handy when trying to work out whats going wrong

35
is recording enabled on the MBG
are web services running on the MBG

best method is to disable PIN sync on the Nupoint
- there is a console command for that
this will mean that any acd agents with nupoint mailbox can set that up without breaking the mivb side when teh password is changed

setup acd micollab softphone user with a pin
dont change it , if you change it you need to redeploy in teh deployment blade

37
you must use direct mode for Micollab Softphone recording

38
there is a brief interruption to the network icon
- only means i have found is to load a branding file with different ( yellow) background

phone goes resilient - background changes
phone comes back - phone reverts to original branding with white background

39
workaround didnt work for me

you can monitor a softphone from a deskphone but not the other way round
initiation of the monitor ( from softphone)seems to conenct but there is no audio

SIP On Mitel / Re: Mitel 5330 Stuck in DHCP

sounds like its in minet mode
 - no web interface for that and it wont boot properly unless it gets an option 125 and connects to a mcd.

power cycle it and hold down the grey blue button ( above red hold key)
then select config phone ( navigate using * & #)
go down to phone mode and select it
then change from minet to sip , when the phone reboots it should have a web interface you can access

get the customer to create an internal ssl cert for it using the domain CA
generate a csr and put the server name in the alternate name filed ( will create a cert with the name listed twice)

then install the domain ca cert into the certificate authority trust
once thats done the internally created cert should install

Best you can do is to set this to yes for all devices in the cos
- this stops the message that enables users to setup the callback

Disable Send Message

Select"Yes" to restrict IP telephones from sending Call MeBack messages. The "Leave a Msg" soft prompt is notdisplayed and/or the message LED on the set initiating the calldoes not flash; this informs the user that Call Me Back messagesare disabled.

Yep it sure is cos they cant make it work in a container

Pretty sure nupoint is to be discontinued

44
they cant
thats the limitation of using softphones
i think the ring group name is being added to the next MIVB release (9.1)
to allow it to be displayed for Softphone users
- you would have to send calls to a ring group and make the softphone a native member so that they can see the ring group name when its ringing

at the moment i don't believe there is anything you can do

yes its possible
Physical controllers have a 3.5 mm jack
as for the legality - they should be paying royalties as its considered a broadcast
in Australia this is controlled by ACMA

With virtual pabx you can now use a sip endpoint to allow the connection to a physical device
