I would be there is only one controller. This school district decided to put every school on one MCD Controller, using embedded voice mail, etc...

yes that would work but we have multiple buildings running off the controller


CHS - 0 to 1843
EE -   0 to 2940
JWE-  0 to 2540

Each location is it's own entity with a receptionist at each location. So chs pressing 0 needs to answer somewhere different from EE.
Right now I have no 0 programmed and I am using the intercept option to direct it to an extension.  it works except every invalid extension dialed will go to that extension.

Our client has a MCD 4.1 with multiple locations running off the single controller. I am using Intercept Handling to route 0 to the receptionist extension at the moment but I it is catching other 'unassigned extensions' and routing it to the receptionist as well. 

Would it be easier to route "0" in the ARS and use the COR to seperate the different location's answer points via Routing lists?

If so how is it done in the ARS route form??

create some kind of route that sends them to a info only box explaining they don't have to dial all 7 digits anymore and to reprogram their speedcall buttons with with just the 4 digit extension numbers.  Also explain to them about the DSS/BLF feature too. Now they can see when someone they always call is on their extension but you can only dss/blf any given extension a max of 16 times.

Check and see if the phone is set to Auto Answer in the class of service and see if it is turned on the receiving set.  We had phones auto answering calls transferred from voice mail once

go to internet options, security, trusted sites, sites, add ip address, uncheck https stuff, go to custom, reset everything to low, then go to local intranet, i unchecked auto check, and left the 3 sub options checked, clicked advanced, added site, then went to custom and again set everything to low.   works fine for me.

MCD 4.1

On a few of these exported spreadsheets I can edit the information but once I upload them there are errors. Even when I export and import an unedited spreadsheet.  Especially the Multiset Key assignment one. (Which I need because I have to program over 200 phones!)

Has anyone else ran into this problem?

I enabled Forced Verified Account Codes in the class of service of a 5312.
When I lift up the handset, i have to press the Acct Veried key on the phone and it returns a dial tone, then i can place a all.  Now the problem is I have to do it when I make enternal calls as well.

In a MCD 4.1 MXE II Controller, I have any long distance calls placed to access a route with Non-Verified Account Codes enabled. Is this the only place I need to have this programmed? 

for example,

9, 123-456-7890
I suspect it will not go any further until the 4 digit account code is entered after the 10 digits are dialed correct?

The customer didn't really say while I was there. The comments they did say was that while working at their computer (which is connected to the phones.) it popped up that error and reset itself.  The errors I got from the phones were from the diag menu/ insert options.

Does anyone know the correct part number for a set of these? I am looking to replace a set.
