MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: Change Default Trunks
« on: April 21, 2017, 04:35:21 PM »
If you're using ARS (Automatic Route Selection) it's really easy.  Your SIP trunks are in a SIP Peers/SIPTrunk group.  Go to SYSTEM/NUMBERING PLAN/Facility Groups/Local/Trunk Groups/Nodes, add the SIP group and drag bit above your existing group.  Repeat for all the other facility group choices.  When you know all is well you can go back and remove the PRI group.

E-Mail Real Name <name>@gmail.com
E-Mail SMTP Port 587

Try this: press message key to return message, but instead of entering password press *.  That should take you back out to vmail base recording.  Enter a mailbox number in the same node as your user.  If it doesn't accept that number you're in the VM for a different node.  Then try numbers for user in each other node until you get one that works.  That's the node vm that's leaving the message.  Check all th nunassociated mailboxes there, and see if any are notifying your user.  Also make sure your user doesn't have a mbox on that node in addition to the one on his own.
Just a wild guess.

Probably messages are from some other mailbox (general mailbox, sales mailbox etc.) Without picking up the phone have her press the lit message key.  Display should say "MSG FROM MBOX XXXX", or even "MSG FROM FRED" (remember, not all messages are from voice mail). Once you find out where the messages are from change the password for that mailbox so she can hear messages, maybe delete mbox if not needed (remembering to eliminate whatever sent messages there such as a menu choice or hunt group recall).

Sounds like maybe ARS is sending some types of calls out of a trunk group these extensions don't have permission to use.  First look at SYSTEM/DEVICES AND FEATURE CODES/CO TRUNK GROUPS (if trunks aren't SIP).  See what groups are there.  Inspect each to make sure all phones are listed in OUTGOING ACCESS DAY and NIGHT (or ALL PHONES EXTENSION LIST is there).
Next I'd try direct-selecting a trunk group from one of the offending phones, see if you can dial those numbers (dial 9200X for that group).
If this works I'd look at ARS programming, see if you've got some rule that kicks in for these numbers to use a special route.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: DEE from multiple extensions
« on: March 31, 2017, 04:39:34 PM »
Depends on how many cells you want to use it for.  There's space in DEE for Mobile, Mobile 2, Home and Home 2, so theoretically you could ring 4 external devices (by calling cell 3 & 4 Home and Home 2).  With what you describe I think you'd need to break the chain of forwards maybe. I don't think a sys fwd for ext 100 to 101 will hit the DEE for 101.  If that's the case use a CRA to break the fwd path: 100 fwd to CRA 200, maybe say "please wait while I try to locate someone for you" or just use no recording.  CRA 200 would use TIME OUT in DIGIT TRANSLATION to send call to the phone or phantom 101.

No difference.  Wiring is same.  Programming same except when initially configuring extensions on-board ports are in SYSTEM/CONTROLLER/SINGLE LINE PORTS, those on the module are in SYSTEM/CONTROLLER/BAY X/SINGLE LINE MODULE-4

I believe the microphone on these phones is in the little slot on the bottom right next to the hing.  Fill that with black silicone caulk.  No mic = unusable speakerphone.

The busy tone is because the phone is busy...what do you want to have happen?  But if you want to shorten the time before caller camps on thats's SYSTEM/TIMERS AND LIMITS/CAMP ON

I think cutting a speaker lead will also disable ring, think ring uses the same speaker.

Phone type may be an issue.  SPEAKERPHONE TYPE flag is only available on digital phones now, not sure why they removed it for 53XX phones.  I assume that was true on your older software too, but don't know for sure.

Intermittent call quality issues including one or maybe two cell phones are difficult to ever pin down, because you've got dozens of points that call passes through.  I'd certainly start by seeing whether most complaints center around one specific employee or one of your callers, because that might point to a particular carrier or device.  As DND says, if it's all PRI it's ones and zeroes coming inj, ones and zeroes going out, should have no deterioration of quality.  One area that MIGHT cause problems is if it's not a true PRI...many carriers deliver what looks like a PRI but is really SIP converted by a gateway.  In that case you add two SIP connections to the mix and that increases the cance of something going wrong.

43
If it's a recorded announcement it's the carrier.  The PBX never says that, problems just display on the phone.  If you're calling LD maybe there's no LD carrier associated.  The word "suspended" makes me think the carrier turned it off, maybe it wasn't on your bill and didn't get paid, or maybe they just made an error.

« on: March 10, 2017, 08:26:33 AM »
It's an all-ring hunt group (only member is an extension list), right?  And it's not flagged as an ACD group, which would require agent log in?
My next step would be to remove and recreate the extension, sometimes a flag gets messed up.  Find that extension in SYSTEM/CONTROLLER/SINGLE LINE PORTS or SYSTEM/CONTROLLER/BAY X and change that port to NONE.  Then change it back to SINGLE LINE, assign extension.  Remember to put that extension back into the EXTENSION LIST for the hunt group.
Even better, if you have a SL port that's unused move the ringer to that one, and put that one in the EXTENSION LIST.

If you'd like, you can try splicing into the cable between headset and phone.  I'd maybe cut the cable and attach a biscuit jack.  Then splice into the outside yellow/black pair.  Attach a microphone from a spare handset to this cable and position as desired, maybe even a microphone and amplifier if needed..  I've never done exactly this, but did something similar years back to allow me to import recordings to the system.  If you try it let us know what happens.
