A local TV station is running a phone bank during their annual fund drive. The calls that come in display name & number but as soon as the phone is answered, the number goes away but the name remains. Of course their is call logging but they are requesting that the number remain and the name disappear when they answer the call. How can I swap the order of the CID display?

Thanks, Jim

But remember as acejavelin said, if you are just going to a new patch on the 5.1 platform, you don't need to mess with the licenses anyway...but you can't go to 6.0 without SWA

Without a current SWA you can't upgrade to a new license file...that's the gotcha...you CAN upgrade but not update and you will have a basically dead system...

If you go into the AMC record for this customer, you can see if it is current or expired...

It will definitely be easier to delete the logs nightly...

OK...that is what I was thinking...on some other platforms, you could choose, all calls, unanswered by me or answered by me...I was hoping for a way to massage it like that...

Thanks

OK cool...I didn't think to go to the THB...

Thanks

Even though upgrading to a different release (from 5.0 to 5.1) will require a new license key it is free if you have AMC access...go to the AMC record for that system and choose update and download the updated key to the system.

If you don't have access to AMC, make sure someone does for if you do a major release update, the system will post an invalid license until it is applied. Also make sure you download the latest DB patch to get access to the system.

You will also want to make sure you have gone into Saba and taken the free update course to make your Mitel TS login current to the release if you need ts help.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Modify Call log on Mitel 5000 5.1
« on: May 18, 2013, 03:13:54 PM »
I am setting up a Mitel 5000 for a charity event and I want the phone bank extensions, manned by different volunteer each evening, to only access call logging for the calls they received...not all the other choices (which may confuse them)...how do I achieve this? I am planning on using 8568 phones.

Thanks, jim

We have installed an SX200 5.0 that we need to integrate with the customer's 3rd party PMS system (Winguest) via a Precidia I-Pocket. I have assigned an IP address to the I-Pocket.

Where in the SX200 do you go to enter the IP address and Port of the I-Pocket (6830) so it can push the info to the PMS system...or how do they integrate?

Thanks for all the cool thoughts and info gentlemen. This gives me much to play with...

How do I send msg notification to more than one ext on an associated mb?

Example: Ext A has an associated mb, Ext B has no mb but would also like to receive notification when a voicemail is dropped into Ext A mb (kind of like a secretary/manager scenario)

How can I achieve this?

I have had the pleasure of having Smoke as an instructor a couple of times...but there are always exceptions to the rules...this may be one of those times where the solution for a fast and expedient reboot would override the rule...

Of course you are correct DND, it will only work on one line...but it would cover two of the three lines...(I misread the original post).

Hmm...a different way...how about removing the intercom keys and replacing them with 2 call keys per phone. Assign each line to ring to a different phone in the attendant group with call pickup for all phones in the group. When a call comes into business A's line, it rings phone A. If phone A is busy, it will still ring in on the second call key (read intercom key) and the other phones in the attendant group within earshot can grab the call, instantly knowing which business the callers is calling. The same with phones B & C.

Hmm...this may be a bigger job than you would want to tackle, but statically assigning the phones would probably solve this issue.

If you wanted to use the last 2 (or 3) digits of the phone's DN to match the last 2 numbers in the last octet of the IP address, it would make reassigning IPs easier to remember.

It sounds like you may be running into a DHCP issue...are the phones DHCP or Static? If they are DHCP is the DHCP server on the controller or a router? Are you using a Phybridge?
