RADS go into DND if they do not answer.

Something I'm curious about: If you have an ACD and your RAD has two VM ports in the RAD group. If the ACD is happily playing the RAD to two callers simultaneously and a third call should hear the same RAD, does this cause the no answer -> DND problem? I'm also trying to track down spurious RAD ports going into DND. It's driving me bonkers. MCD6.0SP3

By "originating caller ID" are you referring to the ID of an external caller into your system that is then forwarded? If so, effectively you are making an external call to the mobile and trying to present a number that you don't have. Not all trunk providers support this.

Mitel Software Applications / Can't login to MOL (now Mitel Connect)?

Since MOL seems to have gone away, I don't seem to be able to login to the new Mitel Connect site. The Forgot Password function doesn't recognise my username. Anyone else having issues? I guess I need to re-register for the new site.

Whether you can number stamp is usually up to the trunk provider. The Mitel can put out whatever you like, but if the provider doesn't honour it, you're out of luck. You say you were told you can, I'm guessing from the supplier of your Mitel. I'd presume they know how to do it. You need to bug your new trunk provider.

You won't get much cheaper than Wireshark and saving RTP streams.  :P

If you want something professional, I have a couple of customers using OAISYS and they seem to be getting what they need from it. I have another customer using Carina Recorder, and they are also happy.

What should they hear? A queue announcement? Music? How do those settings compare to other path programming?

If the queue is busy it's possible the RAD is playing to another caller at the time, which would explain the intermittent nature. Add another port to the group.

Check your MOH settings. If the path is set to play an internal music source, is it available?

Just a follow up to the issues experienced with rebranded Accton switches having issues on Mitel. I'm not in a position to change out a couple of these for other brands, so I've gradually been trying different things to see if I can stop the problem. So far, it seems that disabling LLDP stops the weirdness. I have one that has nearly 6 months of uptime without experiencing the issues (would have been longer but they upgraded UPSs). They used to become unresponsive within weeks.

I've had SSD failures. Have tried the unplug/plug in fix, but had repeat failures later. Ended up replacing them.

I don't have any specific answers. I'm mostly just curious - isn't the point of a queue to, well, queue? That is, if the agents are busy, the call waits until one is free.  If you need an extra agent, put on an extra agent.  :)

I don't know if it works with ACD, but you might look into the External Hot Desk User feature for your mobile phone to integrate things a bit more.

Not really, in my experience. There was a dialup doodad (Media Access Gateway, or some such) but we haven't put one in in years. Just charge more for your visits and make sure the boss of the customer knows it. It helps if you have a static IP at your office that the network admins can lock your access down to, as well.
