Its a Nupoint bug.
I had something similar happen when I set up a phantom that forwarded always to a mailbox. It would only play the 'You may start your message now' prompt and not the greeting. Yet, if there was a delay forwarding - no answer 2 rings it would play the recorded greeting.
I had other mailboxes set up the same way and they worked fine. Deleting the mailbox and re-creating it did not fix the issue.
I did a temporary fix by adding the call director FCOS bit to the mailbox, creating a call director 'Menu' and having the timeout for the menu go to 'Voicemail'.

The hook flash timing of the grandstream ata is 40 to 500 ms
What is the hook flash timing of the cordless phone? I sometimes see these default to 600 ms, which your ata may see as a hangup.

I had one customer that went from a Norstar with analog lines that did not have to dial 9 and they wanted to keep it. The area that they are in just went to 10 digit dialing because now they have a second area code. I programmed it so that they do not have to dial 9, but they shouldn't have extensions in the 100s (for long distance), extensions 311, 411, 611, 911 and extensions that match the 2 area codes. They only had 70 phones in the 200s. Everything is working fine.

1. delete the 2nd multcall key - only one prime dn key
2. set the camp-on timer to 0 seconds for the trunks and sets COS
3. add a call rerouting 1st alternative that has no answer only (busy set to normal) to voicemail <-- if the extension has voicemail - if the user does not have voicemail don't change anything
a. You will get a camp-on notification beep even on speakerphone
b. You will get a 'Trade' softkey to swap between the call that you are on and the incoming call.
c. You can press the transfer/conference key to join the 3 callers
If you receive a 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th call repeat steps a b c
