MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Can this unit run newer software

Hello,

I found this unit for sale running 5.1.0.52 - Can it be upgraded to at least 6.0.9.61 without needing to contact Mitel?

The reason I inquire is that the one with the older software has more licenses. Also, with the age of these units I thought it would be good to have a spare.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Teleworker

Hello,

We inherited a 5000 system and have them up and running internally. However, I am trying to add a phone as teleworker and I'm stuck on Connecting to server. I've read other posts here and made sure the ports are forwarded and I've added the external IP to the phone (holding 7 and arrow up and down on boot).

So a couple things I am wondering:

1 Does DHCP need to be enabled on the 5000?
2 When I run a open port checker all say they are closed, is this normal?

Hello, I'm new to the Mitel 5000 that I got second hand along with the 5330e Phones.

When Auto Attendant passes a call to the extension the caller chooses the caller ID will give the number calling on the first line and on the second line will give the AA's extension.
Am I able to replace the 2nd line with the name of the original caller?
