MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Can't call DIDs from the Mitel PBX
« on: June 25, 2019, 03:07:28 PM »
We just upgraded our old Inter-tel Axxess to a new Mitel MiVoice 250. After the upgrade, we are no longer able to call our own DIDs from inside the Mitel. Calling in from outside PBX work fine. These DIDs are on a single PRI and it worked with the old system. I know it sounds dumb, but some of our users are bent out of shape about this. Any ideas?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / 8662 in SIP mode on Mitel 5000
« on: January 09, 2019, 12:28:54 PM »
I have a few Inter-Tel 8662 (FW ver 2.2.02) phones laying around and a Mitel 5000 (5.0.4.75) with 5 unused category "C" licenses. It's my understanding that the "C" license allows 8662s in SIP mode, but I can't seem to figure out how to get it to work. I've tried creating both 86xx and SIP extensions, but I get licensing errors on both. I get a licensing error trying to use an 86xx extension with the 8662 in ITP mode because I don't  have "A" licenses. That makes sense. However, I also get a licensing error when the phone is in SIP mode trying to use a SIP extension on the 5000. I've even tried the phone in SIP mode with a 86xx extension on the 5000, but I don't see how that would work at all.

Has anyone here ever used a "C" license this way or have any suggestions on what I might be missing? Below is what the documentation reads on the category "C" license.
----
Category C license includes the following phones:
  • Mitel 8600, 8622, 8662, and 8690 phones that are in SIP mode
  • Mitel 8660 phone
  • Axxess/Eclipse IP PhonePlus
  • IP Single Line Adapter (SLA)
  • Mitel 8664, 8665, and 8668 phones
  • Mitel 8601 SoftPhone for Pocket PC
  • Cisco® 7960 SIP Phone (third-party SIP phone)
