I was asked to add a new holiday to our phone system.   Apparently on a holiday when a call goes to our main phone line there is a schedule that sends the phone call to a different voice mail greeting.  It might just be the regular night mode greeting.

We have MiVoice Office 250 system.

I am looking where I might find the location to enter dates for holidays.  I keep reading that people are using something called STARs to do this.  I don't know what that stands for or where that would be located in the menus.

Thank you.

Looking to find out if there is a maximum number of parties that can call in to Mitel Meet-Me Conferencing.

I read elsewhere there is a maximum of 8 parties in Meet-Me Conferencing.  I tested this and got up to 11 separate (internal) lines in the conference before I stopped testing.   Maybe internal lines do not count towards any possible maximum?

Anybody know if there is a maximum, and if this maximum can be configured / changed?  Would like to cap conferencing to 10 parties if possible.

I go to System -> Conference Related Information -> Meet-ME Conferencing and I am not seeing any options there for capping the usage of this conferencing.

Running Mitel MiVoice Office 250 database with Mitel PBX.

I have one extension having an issue where if you dial that extension, it tells you "Please dial a 1 when dialing this number".   The display reads "call forwarding to TG 92001" when you attempt to dial this particular extension.

I understand TG stands for Trunk Group FYI.

Here's the funny part:
If I dial the 10 digit phone number for the extension including the 1 prefix, it says "Please do not dial a 1 when dialing this number".

If I dial the 10 digit phone number for the extension without the 1 prefix it says "Please dial a 1 when dialing this number".

You just can't make this PBX happy no matter what you do!

I have three Mitel 5320 and 5330 hand sets stuck at "Use Hold Key To Send Pin".

Here is my troubleshooting so far:

1. I verified my system options are at the defaults.  Replace pin is set to ###, new handset pin is set to ***.
2. I tried ### + extension + Hold
3. I tried multiple different extensions that are available.  Extensions 1561, 1581, 2904, 2905, and 2907 are all either hot desk profiles or extensions that are available.
4. I reset a phone to the factory defaults by holding down arrow key will power on

Please note I am testing these phones in locations where other phones are working correctly, so I now my network connection is valid.   When I enter ### + extension + hold, I see a single asterisk appear on the screen for each key press, and then when I press hold all the asterisks go away.

Thank you, be well, work hard, enjoy life!

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Cannot delete voice mail message
« on: April 30, 2018, 02:03:56 PM »
We have a Mitel 5320e desk phone and were are running MiVoice Office 250 software with an on premises Mitel PBX.

We have a particular user that has a flashing message light.  When we class voice mail and check for messages, there are no new messages.

When we log into the our local Mitel web portal / web console, it says the user has 1 voice mail message.  I click the red 'X' to delete and get this:

"message_delete request failed(1): XCPI query unsuccessful"

See error message screen capture attached.

Interesting that the message shows as from reception perhaps.  I have deleted the entire voice mailbox for this particular user's extension, and created a new mailbox, but that didn't get rid of the voice message or the flashing message lights on the desk phone.  Perhaps I did  not delete the voice mailbox fully or properly.
