MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Extension ring 3 phones

Hi, I have a VIP user who needs his phone to ring 3 extensions. I use DEE but this will only let me specify 2. He needs to be able to internally appear to dial from his ext 224 so a hunt group wont work.. Can anyone advise what I can do here?

Hi, we use the Mitel conference assistant a lot. It's setup on extension 1020 and also has a DDI assigned to it.

I've noticed that my internal users have started to dial the external DDI to access it, which is obviously taking up two SIP channels for each caller.

I've tried creating a route group so that when the external DDI is dialed, an associated facility group dials the conference assistant, but it's not working as I just get ARS is unavailable when testing.

Can someone give me some guidance on how to achieve this please!

Hi, we've just upgraded our 250 to version 6.3.

The Mitel screensaver has come back on all our 5360's. I've tried deleting it from the application profiles assigned to the phones and deleting the base load as per old guidance on this forum, but it doesn't solve it.

Can anyone tell me how to disable again?! My users find it really distracting. More importantly, they all hotdesk and will forget to check if they're logged in if they're distracted by the pictures!

Any help would be great.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Forwarding hunt group calls to mobile

Hi all, here's another one that's leaving me stumped!

Our main switchboard DDI goes to a hunt group so that if reception don't answer then one of the admin team will get the call. In the evenings, our receptionist may be away from her desk so wants to forward all calls to a company mobile so that she can answer calls. No one else in the hunt group is around so don't necessarily need to call them.

When I tried a simple forward from her extension, it works if you dial her extension directly, but does not forward hunt group calls.

Someone advised me to try using a CRA to a phantom extension which forwards to her mobile. When I try that her phone rings and says "Invalid forward destination" and rings as normal.

Is there any simple way I can get our switchboard DDI number to forward to mobile at the press of a pre programmed button for her. I've tried using DEE but no luck there either.

Sadly we use day/night mode so can't use that either!

Hi, currently whenever any of our users press 9 for an outside line, the caller ID number we use is our main reception number. Some of my users want to have the option to be able to make calls with their DDI number as the CLI. Is it possible to set up our system so that pressing 8 for an outside line will dial out via the same SIP trunks but use the different (non-default) CLI.

hi all. In the UK, we have lots of directory enquiry numbers which vary in cost. They are all 6 digit numbers and always start with 118.

The most popular one is 118118 but as you can imagine, it's also the most expensive, and I'm talking £££ for just a few minutes.

What I would like to do is redirect any call to a 118*** number to 118365 automatically which is much cheaper. We do use ARS but I can't see how I do this. Can anyone give me any details!

Hi, we would like to start using the feature where callers can press 0 during a voicemail greeting to transfer them to an alternative extension.

I've noticed that when we do it, the caller gets an electronic greeting saying "Please hold while your call is transferred to extension xxx". Can anyone tell me how I surpress this message?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Transfer calls to speakerphone

Apologies if this has been answered before, I can not find it anywhere.

Our receptionist always announces the transfers. My users are complaining that when they answer her call on speakerphone (5340&5360s), they then have to press it again to take the call.

I thought this was "Handsfree Announce On System Forward Transfer" but it is set to No. I have tried setting it to yes, but it makes no difference.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

Hi, we have some 5360 phones. They used to display a timer to show how long the call had been in progress for on the handset. For some reason they aren't showing it anymore.

Can anyone tell me how we get it back? Thanks

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Unsupervised ad-hoc conferencing

Hi, great forum, this has been my absolute go to for some time! I have come across an issue today which I can not find a solution to!

We migrated from an old panasonic system to the mitel 5000 recently. One of the features that was used quite a bit was to bridge external parties together. A secretary would call external party1 and then conference in external party2. Once all connected, they would then hang up and leave the two to have their conversation without having to pay for the call and disclose the phone number of each party.

I have tried to do this today on the 5000 and discovered that when I hang up, the two external parties are still connected but can not hear each other. Is there a way round this?

Annoyingly I know the meet-me conf will let unsupervised callers chat to each other, but I know my external people don't want to incurr the call costs!
