Does anyone know what the picture size that UCA/MiCollab suggest for users be?

Because UCA now asks the user to aknowledge the self-signed certificate the first time it opens, I'm looking for a way to stop that.

I know I can get a certificate from a public certificate store, but would prefer not to have to pay for it.

Has anyone used a Domain Certificate Authority to generate one for UCA/MAS before?

Is there a way that anyone has seen to disable the "Show Corporate Folders" that MiCollab/UCA initially loads with?

Because we're setup with IDS Sync, it reveals AD structure that we'd prefer end users didn't see.

Mitel Software Applications / MBG as MCD FTP Backup Point

I have a customer who's MCD controllers can not see the internet.

However they do have a standalone MBG server. I see through the Proxy services that I can enable FTP, and then have the controllers FTP backup to the MBG server.

My question then is, when I perform weekly off-site backups of the MBG server, will those backups include the MCD backups?

I thought I had asked this before, but couldn't find anything on it.

I have a system that was installed as a 5.x and upgraded to a 6.x at asome point.

Ever since the upgrade, everytime someone launches DB programming, it gives a "Detected unknow extension 92000" error.

The rest of the error is:
Table = [CPInformation]
Field = [system_outgoing_device_id]
Extension Space = 0

Anyone have any suggestions on correcting this?

I've received a complaint from a customer that the system is changing between night and day-modes without the main receptionist performing it.

Isn't there a way in the logs to see what/who is changing it?

I have a theory that it's a PC console receptionist via OIA, but would like to know for certain.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / DSS/BLF Transfers Not Following Forwarding

I've had 4 customers in the last week complain that transfers or direct calls made via pressing DSS/BLF keys, have the transfered call not follow the Call Forwarding or Call Rerouting of a transfered to extension.

Example:

Call rings into me, and I answer it on my phone. If I press the DSS/BLF of extension 212 (which is Call Forward Always to a Cell), it rings 212 instead of to the Cell. If I transfer via the Conf/Transfer key and dial 212, however, it does ring through to the forwarded cell phone.

Same if I were to just call 212. If I press their DSS/BLF, it rings 212 instead of following the forward condition. But if I manually dial 212, it does follow the forwarding.


I'm at a complete loss on this one because the customers that have complained are running different software versions, and Mitel support was unsure as well. So far their only suggestion as been to reboot the systems.

I swear there had been a MiVoice 7.1 PR1 bulletin about turning on early media something or other for SIP, from within shell.

Only now I can't find it. Does anyone happen to know the bulletin I'm looking for?

Not usually an area I dabble in too much, but have been asked for recommendations for a customer's conference room for a good projector for their UC360 video units.

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations of brands/models.

I have a customer who later this summer will be transitioning to a newer MXe, as well as replacing their ~200 digital phones with IP phones.

To try and make the transition as seamless as possible, we would like to rebuild their configuration in a lab, without using a backup of their current state.

To that end, on the day of install/cut, they would like us to restore their voicemail so that saved messages are still available to them.  They're not worried about MWI lights at all, just greetings and messages.

Since the dial plan/extension numbers will not be changing, is it possible to ftp the entire /vmail folder from the old to the new controller?

I've never really messed too much in /vmail other than when directed to by Mitel, so I'm unsure of the relationship between the folder structure and database.

I'm assuming I'd also need to do an iPVM_Stop on both systems prior to the move.


If anyone has any insight into this, I'd appreciate it.

Been a while since I've had to work on a 200 ICP.

Customer swears up and down that could just dial 7 to reach voicemail, and sometime in the last 3 weeks it stopped working. (Been 9 months since one of my techs was onsite however.)

Any suggestions on the best way to do this? 700 is the HG for voicemail.

Mitel Software Applications / MTR for MSL?

I have a customer who we are using their MBG server as SIP proxy for some sip trunks.

They've been having some ISP issues and to try and diagnose it, I've been asked to install MTR onto the linux server. I thought MSL was based off of CentOS, but all the commands I find, don't work to install MTR.

Anyone tried this before or could offer some assistance?

I have several agents, who belong to multiple agent groups.

I would like to set it up, so that any call waiting in queue A, using agent group A, is given more priority that any calls coming into queue B (using agent group b).

How can this be accomplished using ACD2000 alone?

Within the "Solving problems using agent reports" section of the Report's Guide, there is a reference made to using the Auditor to help trace this.

What and where is "the Auditor"?


Here's the exact passage from page 56:
"2. For agents who have high Make Busy peg counts, run the Auditor with an Agent by Time monitor for the agent group. Be sure agents are not using Make Busy to avoid being the Longest Idle Agent or to avoid being routed the next ACD contact."

I seem to remember a way to adjust the MOH volume on the 5000. How would someone do this?
