Hi Ralph..

Yeah I've tried holding the button for ages.. No difference.. I have also noticed that the button on the the bottom left hand corner of the phone that is supposed to appear saying "Cordless Devices" Doesn't come up either...

This is the article I found on the net that states that the cordless pairing system is only available she using MiNet mode:

Sure thats the problem.. Could just do with getting the phone to boot into that mode to try it. But without a 3300 controller I don't think there's much chance of that.. :o(

Richard

Thanks for the reply Ralph..

Yes.. I have read this article and watched its attached video...

when I initiate the pairing sequence, the wireless module application does not launch on the phone, thus I cannot confirm that I want to pair the handset.

I have also removed the wireless module from the phone to check it and its jumper were installed ok. and there is nothing wrong there..

its so strange...

Guys/Gals,

I came across the forum and thought I would register and ask a question as I am at my wits end...

I recently had come into my possession a lovely Mitel 5340 complete with Wireless module and Wireless handset. I have successfully managed to get this working on my SIP PBX in my home but I have one issue. I am unable to get the Wireless handset to pair..

Having trawled the internet for answers I have seen one article stating the the wireless pairing confirmation application only works when the phone is in MiNet mode.. Is this true??

If this is true, is there a way of getting the phone to boot into MiNet mode to allow me to pair the Handset without having a Mitel Controller present on my network?? Or am I wasting my time with this phone. I hope not cos they are damn good phones..

Any help would be much appreciated..

Cheers

Richard

PS. If I'm in the wrong place to ask this question tell me to go away.. LOL
