Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Nortel to 3300 not following diverts
« on: August 15, 2013, 06:24:55 AM »
Hi Guys,

Wonder if anyone can help?

We have an office in US that have a nortel system that is connected to a 3300 (gateway) via Q-sig.

This 3300 is connected to our network of 3300's (mainly in UK & Europe),via IP trunking & we can establish calls to & from the Nortel to any 3300, with no problems.

If a call from a Nortel phone, calls a phone in the UK that has been diverted to their voicemail (external voicemail server by Voice connect) then the Nortel phone gets dead air/silence.

To eliminate that the problem could be the Voice connect server, we diverted a UK phone to another UK phone, both on the same 3300.

When the Nortel called this phone, it got a fast busy tone back.
With all diverts removed, the calls connect with no problems, so the problem relates to the originating call unable to follow the divert, regardless of where that divert is pointing to!

I have checked the parameters COS etc on the 3300's & nothing seems to be obviously wrong.

We don't have any problems with other calls following diverts from anywhere else on our network, only from the Nortel.

So I am not sure if this is a Nortel/Q-sig problem.

I am not trained on Nortel, so if anyone could shed any light on the above I would be eternally grateful

cheers

Hi All,

I have an issue with a customer that has recently had their SX2K upgraded to an MXe but keeping the cabs etc.
The system uses back to back E&M trunks to send retrieve voicemail messages to a 3rd party voicemail/call logger server.
I have followed the same programming example that has been used in one of their other sites & the PDF guideline that shows all programming seems to be correct.

To access voicemail you dial 81
81 is an ARS route across the E&M trunks.
In the digit mode form there is programming that shows what call tone plan to use & also what digits to be inserted.

here I have programmed <T01><E>#
T01 is the tone plan to use (wait for tone is set to 2 seconds & out pulse is set to DTMF)
E is the symbol for the callers extn number to be sent
# is code for ending call/nothing to follow.

I have tested this on the 1st port of the 3rd parties server & I do not get an DTMF signal from the 3300/SX2K
All related programming has been checked & double checked but there is something somewhere that is stopping DTMF from being sent.

An ideas guys

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / CXi POE L2 problems
« on: December 05, 2012, 06:13:45 PM »
Hi Guys,

I had a power faliure on a CXi & in the replacement CXi, I installed all the original relevant cards etc ( sys ID, HD & BRI Quad)

The CXi powered up with no alarms but had no power to the L2.

When viewing via main port, is says MIPS not up, L2 processor restting (something along this)

I have checked the status of the ports, they are enabled & the L2 has an IP address.

I have entered UpgradeBootrom All command but with no joy.

Thinking there was a problem with the hardware side of the replacement CXi, I have since installed all of the cards above into a BRAND new CXi but have exactly the same problem.

I decided that even though the original HD was showing as being healthy, I might as well format & reload software & database.

So the original HD has had the software reinstalled & the database restored.....and I still have the same problem.

The software running is 7.1.

I feel that there must be something that I forgot or I have done wrong...

Please can someone put me out of my misery

Any advise is welcome

regards

Washo
