Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: Voice Mail for a Hunt Group
« on: May 17, 2011, 11:34:58 AM »
When I say a virtual ext, I mean that there is no physical telephone with the ext assigned to it.

I have the hunt group ext setup with the hunt group type set to "Voice", secondary element set to "Unassigned" although this is where I assumed I would program the Voice mail for the hunt group???

As stated before I don't claim to be an expert in Mitel ICP 3300 and can only go but the help files and google searches to try and understand what needs to be carried out.

The area in help that I found and assumed needed to be setup states the following:

Secondary Element

Allows you to enable and disable resiliency for the hunt group.  You can only enable resiliency if the Group Type field is set to "Voice" or "VoiceMail".
On the primary (local) element, select the secondary element for the resilient hunt group. If the primary element fails, the hunt group fails over to the secondary element that is specified in this field. You must program the COS  fields before you can enable a hunt group with resiliency. Refer to the 3300 ICP Resiliency Guide on Mitel Online for instructions on how to configure hunt group resiliency.

In the  this form, the secondary element field displays "Not Assigned" if the group is not resilient. If the secondary element field is blank, the group is resilient but the secondary element name is blank.

In the Add and Change window, the secondary element field allows you to enable resiliency . To enable resiliency, select an element from the drop-down list. To disable resiliency, select the "Not Assigned" from drop-down list.

On the secondary element, this field is read-only.

But this is where I'm stuck, as I cannot select anything from the drop down for Secondary Element - Unassigned and don't really understand what I must change to enable this functionality, if really required to achieve what I need.

This is where I'm stuck, and could probably be looking in the wrong section all together, so any advise is good advise?

Thanks

Mark

Hi

I do not claim to be an expert on Mitel systems and was hoping for some assistance with setting up voice mail on a Hunt Group.
I have created a Hunt Group for our technical team and have been trying to setup a voice mail for it but everytime I try it never works.  While investigating how to configure this it keeps refering to 'Class of Service Options Assignment' form but I must admit its confusing me a little.

All I need to do is setup a voice mail for the Hunt Group Ext, which is a virtual ext and would appreciate any help to enable this, so any advise would be welcomed.

Thanks

Mark

Thanks for the responses guys, much appreciated!!

I havwe tried adding the new number to the speed call assignment as suggested, which works from internal calls using only the number without the area code eg.

Internally dialled: 6661 - Works perfect
Internally dialled: 856661 - (added through speed call assignment) Works perfect
Externally dialled: 01442 856661 - Fails
Internally dialed using full number: 901442 856661 - Fails after dialling 901442 8566 - error message on phone 'INVALID'

The biggest problem is I need this to be a DDI so outside people can call this number and its becoming urgent :0(

Unfortunately I have never ran a CCS Trace either so any help with that would be appreciated also?

Any more ideas would be welcomed guys.......?

Thanks

Mark

Mitel 3300 ICP

Hi All

I have setup 2 Hunt Groups for 2 divisions of our Sales Dept which both have similar Extension numbers (6661 and 6662)
These extensions I assumed would use the same in the direct dial to the extension eg.

Ext. 6661 - DDI (Area Code) 856661
Ext. 6662 - DDI (Area Code) 856662

Unfortunately I dial the number but it gives an INVALID return.
Our Phone Extension usually end in 64** or 65** but we are running out so I used them 66** for the hunt group's

How can I setup the system to allow me to specify this these numbers for these Extension, especially as letters have gone out customers with the new number?

Please help me resolve this as it could be rather embarrising :0( - All help greatly received!!

Many thanks

Mark

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: Hunt Group Call rotation
« on: April 04, 2011, 08:55:56 AM »
So this will cause the next new call to be directed firstly to the second person in the list and so on if all tech guys are NOT on a call?

As the new call must cascade down through the list so each person in the list receives a call first in rotation but again when none of the tech guys are on a call, so its not looking for the person at the top of the list each time.

Thanks

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Hunt Group Call rotation
« on: April 04, 2011, 05:54:34 AM »
Hi

I have a request to setup a hunt group for 5 technical product guys, although the request is kind of different in the way that their manager wants the calls to be handled a specific way (see below):

If all tech guys are not on a call and a call comes in, then the first person named in the hunt group should get the call (Pretty normal right?).

Then when the same scenario exists (all tech guys are not on a call) and the next call comes in, the manager wants the call to automatically ring the next person listed below in the hunt group.

So effectively they want each tech guy to receive the call in sequence so no-one is a primary contact exactly, meaning new calls are shared between each tech guy equally in rotation.

Can you tell me if this is funtionality is possible to configure with this system?

Many thanks

Mark
