Do you have any spare DEM-16 cards in a known-good condition? I would want to make sure the cards were the issue before I move on to the DEI itself.

EDIT: Swap w/known-good DEI, as you probably already are doing. It's rare enough to me that the DEI just hates having any cards in it but I've known it to happen.

What cards are in this DEI?

Have you tried booting the DEI up without any of the cards inserted, then inserted them one at a time?

I've had this same issue and it turned out to be a bad card.

As a tech with a network background, please do NOT open port 22 to the outside world forwarded or not.

We usually close that, and only SSH into the device locally because it's a huge security breech. If you have to SSH into the device you probably already need to be present at the site.

That's my $0.02

Does the phone recognize there is a DECT module installed?

AT&T finally got to me, they were expecting a different number of digits (I couldn't get more, probably a big oops on their part.) to call int'l. So the fault was completely on their end.

Thanks all for your help!

Hey, when someone has Copy&Forward for email integration, does that also copy&forward voicemails sent from other mailboxes on the system, or does the 5000 only send an email when the voicemail is first created?

I have a customer that wants to see call logs from after-hours. They do a system fwd-all-calls to an on-call tech's phone and would like to see what calls were made out to that phone.

Can this be done natively in the 5000? Or would there need to be a 3rd party application involved (Call Accounting, etc.)?

POC is Point of Contact. In this instance it's someone that our customer has nominated to be our contact individual.

I have tried to get anyone at AT&T that could possibly help, but I've gotten the usual "That's department X, let me transfer you" about 9 times now.

I'll try that when I can get hold of my point of contact.

Where would I find the D-Channel Diagnostics?

Dial Rule 2 is removed, no change. Still giving reorder/fast-busy tone.

Phone is showing the number (011-###) being dialed.

Tech, where would I find that information? I'm connected to version 6.0.11

I found it, now I have to wait for my POC to get back to test for me.

The PRI was able to dial internationally before (according to the customer), so I am operating under the assumption that it is our equipment until proven otherwise. AT&T have done 'tests' but have come up with no faults.

No, I have not tried that change yet. I will give it an attempt and report back.

Sadly, I am working this issue remotely. My POC is very hard to pin down, but when I get hold of him I will ask.

Thank you!

I am a novice technician, so please bear with me if I miss something apparent.

I have a customer that can no longer dial internationally station-to-station after the installation of their MiVoice 250. Their Carrier is AT&T (PRI) and I have not heard anything back from them as to what they expect to get from our system to dial internationally, nor do I expect to at this point.

I have checked the dial rules and they appear to be correct. I have also checked that their outgoing trunk group is in the correct groups to dial out. The customer is stating they are getting a fast-busy signal when they attempt to dial.

Does anyone have any guidance on what Dial Rules I should be looking at with an AT&T PRI? Or if I should have my search begin elsewhere?

What about Cascade levels? This still takes care of the VM box and just points it to a different phone to notify. You could just activate each specific tech's cascade level.

Edit: Just read DND ON's post, please disregard mine :)
