Hello
adjust the timer settings on COS that are assigned for the RAD.

I agree with tjcurcio, or you can just modify the greeting of mailbox 0 and leave all other things unchanged.

Don,t worry.
RAD is a record announcement device message, which needs different class of service than the Voice mail.
So is it the 6700 the main mailbox number?
I assume that the calls during day arrive to an extension and at night service you divert the extension to VM. Is my assumption correct?
If yes log on as an administrator to VM 6700 and change the greeting to this specific VM not the company greeting.
I f no please check that the 6700 is a hunt group with voice mail class of service that contains the appropriate VM ports in it.
One last question is this the embedded voice mail or not?

Very strange
how many digits is your extension numbers 3 or 4?
Does the VM corresponds with these digits?
Did you record the night message on the company greeting menu or in an another mailbox number? Is it a RAD message?

5
Can you run a CCS trace to check if the call is actually going to VM during day mode?

Hello
Did you check that the system is set to night mode?
In the Voice mail section under business hours (system admin tool), there is an option  for the system to go to night mode in two ways, either to follow business hours or via Feature Access code.
Check that

Hello all
I am posting some considerations regarding a clustering project which I have to implement.
I have configured a couple of times before clusters, but only for resilient purposes.

The Mitel controller’s network consists of 5 different sites.  All systems running enterprise software with MCD version 7.0.

One site it’s already configured as a cluster (two MXe controllers) for resilient purposes (only one has extensions registered, the second is stand by only).

All sites are connected via IP/XNET networking using direct ip routes and ARS prefixes dialing from each site to another. It works very well.

There is a 3 digit non uniform numbering plan, which means that there are DN numbers that are overlapping each other (e.g extension 400 exists in more than one site)

Now before I proceed I would like to state that customer needs a common corporate directory, and that is why I am implementing clusters.

First of all I have to change the extension numbers to a 4 digit uniform numbering plan.
Then implement CSID digits, change the routes and start sharing.

These systems don’t share many thing in common regarding COS, COR and each one has an ISDN local break out to PSTN.

Is there any other way to achieve the common corporate directory book apart from clustering?

Can I create the cluster and share only the Telephone directory between the systems and nothing else than that?

Regarding the already configured cluster (two systems on the same site for resiliency), can it be part of larger cluster, or do I have to remove it and create it again in the new Cluster?

These are my consideration, any helpful info will be most appreciated.

Thanks very much.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Resilient License Concept
« on: February 11, 2016, 08:09:56 AM »
Hello
I want to clarify how the resilient licenses works, because after carefully reading the engineering and resiliency guidelines it is not yet clear to me. (software version MiVoice Business 7)

I have a simple scenario, a customer wants 100 MiTAi extensions and 10 hot desk agents. All extensions should use the embedded system’s voice mail. This configuration needs to be resilient. We don’t mind about the trunks in this example.

How many licenses are needed?

Two controllers running enterprise software, clustered together, and 110 enterprise ip users licenses and 100 voice mail licenses for the master controller. The second one needs nothing only running the enterprise software.

Are my assumptions correct?

How the AMC recognizes the second controller to be resilient to the first one regarding the licenses?

Do I have to create GARID containing the two ARIDs of the above involved controllers?

Thanks in advance.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Mitel 68xx generic sip phones BLF
« on: October 14, 2015, 06:48:50 AM »
Hello
i am trying to configure a couple of 68xx Mitel SIP phones on my MiVB 7.1 system with BLF but it does not work.
My Mitel 5340e phone has BLF showing the 68xx device which is working ok, but the generic SIP phone has no indication of any BLF.
Does anyone know if MiVB supports SIP notify messages?
Maybe for the minet phones it uses proprietary MITAI protocol.
Is BLF working with generic SIP phones?
Thanks in advance.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Phone Language
« on: May 05, 2015, 06:32:06 AM »
Hello
i have a CXi controller recently upgraded to MiVB 7.0 sp2 from version ICP 9.0.
The language of the system was set to Italian, but during the upgrade procedure i set it to English.
All ip extension have english menu apart from 3 extensions.
One 5224 ip device, and two brand new 5320e ip devices.
Although the default language is set to english, they have Italian menu. I have factory defaulted them, but nothing.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / 5320e ip phone
« on: April 03, 2015, 05:31:10 AM »
Hello all
i want to ask you if 5320e ip phone is supported on version 8 and version 9 controllers?
It does not have the device type on the drop down list, but is there any bypass to assign the decice to an old controller?
Thanks in advance.
