I am a Mitel partner (MV250 oriented, no ShoreTel experience) and have been contacted by a school to do a ShoreTel UPGRADE on their existing system. I would like to know where I could look to find an independent tech with ShoreTel experience that I could partner with on this project. Thanks.

Phones: IP420 and IP480

Has anyone here ever used an Arduino to send a TCP command (OAI) to a Mitel MV-250? I have a need to send an OAI command to a Mitel system when a contact closure is sensed.

Lower 'Message Wait' system timer down to 1 and it will greatly help alleviate this problem

If no agents are logged into first group, doesn't that immediately invoke OVERFLOW not RECALL destination?? Do you have the 2nd group defined as an OVERFLOW destination what is the timer? That 3mins stuck in first group doesn't sound right.

On the other issue... I don't think there is any issue with mixing ACD and UCD groups. If your agents belong to more than one hunt group I would leave it as ACD. IMHO, its better to use the option login/logout of EACH or ALL groups as an agent rather use hunt group remove/replace (code 324) as a member which affects all groups a member belongs to.

Anyone know what the correct SMTP settings are to allow Contact Service Manager and Intelligent Router (IR) to be able to send/route email messages (Media Blending) though Offcie365 account?? I have tested it and am getting the error in attached screenshot. I only see 2 options for sending and my client doesn't what to use 'No Authentication' option which they used successfully for YEARS on their in-house Exchange server.

Is the password option supposed to work with O365 or is this a Mitel problem?

I am looking for a way I can use a Viking CTG-2A (tone generator) on a MV250. Currently, I have the CTG hooked up directly to the pagning talk path for overhead speakers (all self-amplified Valcom). The school has now asked me to add a group of Mitel desktop phones to the overhead speakers group. When I tried to do this (via Mitel SLT port), I get a nasty 'click' (aka "ker-chunk") when the CTG port goes back "on-hook" at the end of the audio file. Mitel and Viking tech support are stumped on ideas to fix this.

My difficulty is the Page port and Trunk ports on the MV250 are only used for audio 'outbound' when paging and I can't use them for audio input so I can get away from using SLT port. ANY ideas on how I could set hits up to eliminate the nasty CLICK noise????

Any ideas on how to default the 'engineer' login for MiVoice Office App Suite? We use our demo system very seldom and just today the default login (u=engineer, p=Teleph0ny!) is no longer working. We never setup the email portion of the system so we can not use password reset link in browser.

Any ideas? Is my only option to do an 'uninstall program' thru Windows and re-install the whole thing?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Upgrading PS-1 via USB drive

Have any/many of you had success with upgrading the software on a PS-1 via USB thumb drive? (My preferred method on the HX box for ease of use and reliability)

My company (Mitel partner) only has one customer with a PS-1 connected to their MV-250 and we have only upgraded them twice in 4 years (this client hates downtime, lotsa $$$). We have always done the DVD method where it re-installs the whole Linux OS and the Mitel software then we restore from backup. I really like the simplicity of doing our upgrades to our '250' clients' machines with USB drives.  I need to upgrade this client's PS-1 this weekend and would love to just web into the PS-1 and do a simple USB software upgrade. They would be going from 6.0 SP3 PR4 to 6.3 SP3

Am I asking for trouble or have you folks found this method easy and foll proof as it is on the HX box.  Thx for your comments.

Thanks for your reply. This is a complete appliance  provided by Mitel (not VM). MS Windows is pre-loaded on the physical machine (HP ML30 server with Win 2016 Server). When machine boots, it remains at a Windows login screen for the Administrator. It came this way out-of-box from Mitel. There is a link on the screen to reset password but I would rather not unless necessary. Have tried several passwords: admin, password, no password, itpassw, callrecorder. none of those work.

Been a while since I've installed a Mitel Call Recorder (formerly Oaisys) and don't know the default OS password (not in documentation either). Does anyone know the default password for the Win OS? (WinServer 2016). If not, is it safe to use the password RESET link on the main screen? THANKS

Hi TE,

I am the vendor (Mitel Partner) and I've been using Mitel SysAdmDiag software for many years with no issue. I have reported this problem (bug?) to Mitel and waiting for a response from tech support.

Turns out its my Mitel software on my Lenovo X1 Yoga running Win10. I've uninstalled and re-installed twice but have same issue. Settings in Mitel SysAdmDiag don't save right. I can edit existing connections but settings don't keep and also when I create new connections, it saves them but can't use them. Error states it can not find entry.

I whipped out my last ThinkPad (Win7 Ult, actively using on Mitels about 14mos ago) and it programmed the system up just fine.

Very frustrating. Does anyone know of any known issues with Win10 Pro and Mitel software?

I am trying to reprogram a system that has been defaulted. I can login to system webpage just fine (admin/itpassw) but when I use SysAdminDiag program to try and program I keep getting "node busy with other session or username/password invalid". What gives??? See attached pic of test connection.

Any ideas Mitel gurus? :)

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Anyone using Voice Carrier for SIP trunks?

Anyone successfully using Voice Carrier's SIP Trunks? We just got a couple trunks from them to test and we can not get them to work on the 5000. We have successfully used other SIP carriers and there really isn't much to setting up SIP trunks on the 5000. Meaning, there really isn't much you can tweak. It pretty much FQDN (or IP), username, and password.

IF you have successfully used their trunks, could you explain how you got them to work and was it much different than other providers?
