Title: Originating Line info - private paystation
Post by: evan631 on June 29, 2017, 10:06:14 AM
We are having issues calling a specific number from one of our 3300's.  When we dial the number we get a message "sorry call cant be completed from payphone".

We heard back from our carrier and they are saying..."underlying carrier advised the call is being sent with the Originating Line Information(OLIP)          [ATT: 36] 70 (Private Paystation), which is what is identifying the calls as coming from a payphone. You will want to have your PBX vendor check the CPE and correct the setting."

Any idea where I can make this change so we can get these calls to go through.

It's not the most critical situation, but I think it would resolve a few other toll free number issues we have.

Thanks for the help, I've searched the Google and forums, but cannot find anything.

Are you able to call it from other 3300s in the same cluster?
I'm highly doubting that this is a PBX issue.

If you using the same CLID number for all outbound calls, try an experiment:
Using the Associated Directory Number form, change the caller ID to another number and retest.

Looking to revisit this as it has come up again.

I changed my associated directory number and still coming up with payphone error.

We are able to make the call from other 3300s in cluster, but I must warn not all systems are setup identical.

Any other suggestions?

You might also check CEID programming.
