Title: Mitel 5000/MVoice 250 Vmail to Email stopped functioning

We have had a vendor installed Mitel 5000 for about 5 years now, it has worked fine for the most part. All of a sudden one day the controller and phones  rebooted on their own and when the phones came back up they had the dreaded "applications loading" stuck on the screens and the vmail to email also stopped working. Vendor came onsite for about a month and does have the "applications loading" issue resolved but cannot get the vmail to email back. We are and have been using a specific gmail account for this and we have checked the security settings in gmail, tried 587 and 465 for smtp, now this account does work when we use it on a copier in our network for the scan to email option.
Vendor also upgraded the software, they found a bad sector on the flash media and corrected that as well but nothing seems to fix the vmail to email settings.
Any assistance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I have exhausted my efforts. Again the gmail account works with a copier on our network for scan to email but it will not work with the Mitel box.

Under System>Devices and Feature Codes>Email Gateway  what sections do you have filled in with information?

There should be something in

Administrator Email Address
Email Real Name
Email SMTP Port
Email SMTP Server
Email System
Email Username
Gateway Password

Is this Enhanced Integration or Forward/Copy&Forward? What do your logs show... basic email setup is usually very simple and your logs will generally show you the EXACT reason this is failing.

Under System>Devices and Feature Codes>Email Gateway  what sections do you have filled in with information?

There should be something in

Administrator Email Address
Email Real Name
Email SMTP Port
Email SMTP Server
Email System
Email Username
Gateway Password

Remember, you only really need:

Administrator Email Address: gmail email address
E-mail SMTP Port: 587
E-mail SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
E-mail System: SMTP
E-mail Username: gmail email address
Gateway Password: gmail account password

All other fields should be blank.

You can have the E-Mail Real Name filled in as well, but it won't matter if it isn't.

The relay account your scanner is using is probably the one below. This has worked in the past, you can just input any email you like, doesn't
have to be a valid Gmail acct. The only thing is the Google relay server will only send to Valid Gmail account's, but as long as you all have Gmail
accounts this should work.
