Title: Mitel exchange integration
Post by: doctora on September 15, 2010, 11:26:49 AM
I finally have the mitel working with exchange.  I used a non DID as the link extnesion.  I want to build a DID number that when dialed both internally as an extension and externally will go to that number.  I am new to Mitel and would appreciate any help with this.

Thanks
Mark

The easiest thing to do would be create a System Speed Call using the DID as the Speed Call Number and point it at your current non-DID number (actual number).

How do you access a system speed dial from outside the company?  I set up a hunt group with a single entry.  I am not sure it is the best way but it works.

If a number is a DID and programmed on your system it will ring. If the carrier delivers DID 1234 to you and you have it programmed at a speed call that points at an internal number of 6789 it will ring that location. The 3300 routes the DID as though it were an internal number.

Did I clarify this properly?

You could use the Hunt Group, a Ring Group, phantom phone with CFA or call reroute. I prefer the system speed call because it is simple.

I have it working but I am going to play with the system speed dial.
