Does an ACD Agent HAVE to be a Hot Desking User.

If they never share a desk and always use the same phone does the Mitel system still REQUIRE them to be a Hot Desking User.

It's my understanding that yes, this is the new way that Mitel is saying to do ACD.

While traditional ACD2000 still exists and works, the new phones will only support the Hotdesk model and thus it is the new preferred method.

I don't think they have to be, but I think it's a good idea to do so. May not make sense to you now, but down the road at some point it will come in handy.

An old thread i know, but it will let you program older generation sets as traditional on release 8.x. But the 96xx series can only be programmed as HD ACD agents. i've just encountered this at one of my customer sites.

Cheers

Mitel would like them to be, but you still have the option to use full license then login to acd. FWIW I would make them hotdesk, and move all traditional to HD
