Site has one DID that rings (3) phones during the day but needs to forwarded to an external number at night. The number it needs to forward to changes on a weekly rotation for whoever is on call
I'm looking for a simple solution so that anyone can forward the DID to the cell number of the person on call.
My thought is to build a phantom extension and put a multi call key on the phones of the 3 people that need to ring during the day
For night operation I believe they could use call forward follow me 3rd party, but that would require a long digit string to be entered each night and then undone in the morning.
Is there an easier solution that I am missing? I would like to reduce as many key strokes as possible as well as possibly giving an indication on the 3 phones that the number is forwarded
Any thoughts would be appreciated
Thank you

Do you have a Nupoint voicemail where you can interface the DID to?

If the call is not answered during the day, what happens?

You could program that on a key for them.
Or they could do a CFA to a speed dial that sends the call to the external number.

There is a NuPoint VM being used

They want this particular call to ring 3 users until the call is answered during the day

Can I program the entire string to a key? How would they then cancel the forward, dial cancel feature code(or code on another key)
Thank you all for the responses

Yes, two keys, one for on and one for off.

Got it.
Thank you all for the information
