Anyone,
Does anyone have a document or configuration settings for setting up Charter SIP Trunks on a 3300? Has anyone made this work on a 3300?
Thanks,
TE

If you have a Mitel Border Gateway, it should be simple... if not, how are they delivering them?
We have a lot of Charter SIP in SE Minnesota, but very little on the 3300. SIP on the 3300 is pretty simple though as long as you have some kind of session border controller (preferably a MBG).

Acejavelin,
Unfortunately I don't work on the 3300, at least not yet, but the technician working on it states there is an SBC provided by Charter. Since this is the first time we have tried to setup a 3300 with Charter SIP trunks I was trying to figure out how it needed to be programmed. As there isn't a SIP CoE document for how to program it I figured someone on the Mitel Forums might have done it even without the document.
The only post I found on it was from Ralph and it was a few years old without any replies to the issues he was having; hence my post.
Thanks,
TE

Is it to a public or private address?

johnp,
Well, since Charter's SBC is within the LAN then my assumption is that the 3300 would connect to that, unless it is unable to.

Everyone,
We were able to get a document from Charter on how to setup the 3300 to work with their equipment.

Hopefully your 3300 tech has done SIP before, because several of the points in this PDF could get you in trouble if you don't understand how they work and interact with your existing setup... other than that, this is basically the same as Mitel's generic SIP trunking guide except Charter's switch seems to require SDP in the initial invite. They are also missing a critical piece, you need to add the DID numbers and/or range to the SIP PEER DID assignment form or you won't get an incoming call working at all.
I would also suggest in Network Zones to add the default billing number to the Charter Zone, and in the SIP PEER profle, this will allow passthough of caller ID on external to external calls to work properly.
