i am unable to get the MWI working when i leave a voicemail on Microsoft UM
anyone got any ideas ????

What exchange version are you using, and what 3300 load?
There are known issues with this in some of the 3300 loads, and only exchange 2010 can light MWI's.

i am running 4.1 sp2 mitel and exchange 2010 enterprise

Hmmm we had to go to 4.1SP2 to get it to work. Happen to have a trace of it when it attempts to light the lights?

i am not seeing anything on the wireshark trace

What do you mean your not seeing anything? No sip/rtp traffic at all? Or no attempt by the exchange to turn on the MWI?

You are looking for a SIP-Notify message i think....

i cant see any SIP-Notify messages in the wireshark trace
are there any settings in the UM sip peer profile i need to change

Just to double check, on the exchange server.....
Organization Config -> UM -> UM Gateway, within the properties, is it set to "Allow message Waiting Indicator"?
