Title: No Calling Line ID When Call is Transferred from Nupoint to Attendant Console
Post by: mszodiac on January 09, 2017, 12:29:52 PM
Hoping everyone had an awesome holidays!

I've been working on this problem which I thought was just simple but....

Whenever a call comes into the main company number, and then gets transferred to the attendant console either by pressing 0, or dial by extension, the CLID displayed is just the trunk number and a label "E1 ISDN".

However, when I call the attendant console's direct line, I see my entire CLID.  So, I know the COS of the trunk, and the console is correct.

I think the problem only has to do with the voicemail ports' COS.  But I'm not sure the specific setting.

I have these settings on the voicemail ports and I thought Display Held Call ID on Transfer set to Yes would fix it, but it didn't.

Calling Name Display - Internal - ONS   = Yes
Calling Number Display - Internal - ONS = Yes
COV/ONS/E&M Voice Mail Port             = Yes
Display Held Call ID on Transfer        = Yes
ONS CLASS/CLIP: Visual Call Waiting     = Yes
Trunk Calling Party Identification      = Yes

My system is an MiVoice Business Release 7.2, and 5540 IP console.

Thanks for your time!

How does the transfer occur from the NuPoint?

It is a blind transfer.

From a Call Director?

Can you call the nupoint internally and have the calling party show on transfer?

I sorted this one out using CCS trace.  There's two E1 PRI's on the MCD.  There is no CLID on the 1st PRI only.  We've engaged the Telco.  Hopefully they'll fix it soon.
