Title: System prompts
Post by: x-man on December 06, 2016, 04:48:41 AM
Mitel 3300 CX on release MCD 5.0 using embedded voice mail

Simple auto attendant which is working fine except that one of the prompts has changed in the person who owns the phone. Nothing else changed. Customer says they have changed the greeting and the name on the phone BUT when the transfer takes place the previous  name is still given out.

I am right that the system announcement that says "you are being transferred to" picks up the name from the phone?

If not anyone know where it is in the voicemail setup?

If its picked up from the phone any hints on how to make it find the new name?

Thanks.

Tony

Yes as far as I'm aware it is the name you record for your mailbox.

What happens if they dial the VM system.
It should say 'Welcome name'

Does this match?

The user didn't re-record the name prompt.
Maybe the easiest way to fix it is to delete the box and recreate it.
That would force the user through the tutorial.

OK, just remembered the issue.

Its because the AA uses the single digit mailbox used for the transfer only bit is the name it uses; NOT the user to whom it gets transferred to name (in their own mailbox.

I shall kick myself hard and thanks for the suggestions.
