Hi Has anyone set this up
I have entered an extension in the Meet Me Conf field in System Access points but next instruction says
Programming
To program Meet-Me Conference:
Complete Conference feature programming.
Enter the Meet-Me Conference Access Number in the System Access Points form.
Anyone have any experience in getting this to work

I have only done it the once, and from memory it just worked. What happens when you try to configure it?
-
Same. You set up the DN, set the number of allowed parties/trunks in a conference, and it just works.

Got it working
Once i added the external number to the system access points form.
The details on how to configure it are a bit sketchy.
You dial the number either external or internal ext then enter your ext (to act as conference host) then the pin number 4 digit. This activates the conference
Users dial in either external number or internal ext then enter your ext followed by # then pin same as you set followed by hash then they are put in conference
Very simple and quick and cost saving.

Just another question
The security of this is none exisitant. We found that anyone can dial-in and setup a conference with a distinct pin and others can connect which could cause all of out lines to be used on say a BRI/PRI ISND2 setup.
There also isn't a direct way to see if this is occurring
Anyone know of a way to prevent this or harden the system against it

Yes, there isn't any real security. I have a site setup where an auto attendant answers and ask for a 6 digit entry. I have speed calls setup that takes them directly to a pinned conferences if a matching number is entered
