Title: NuPoint Version Question
Post by: irongladiator on November 15, 2016, 07:03:51 PM
Hello Fellow Mitel Techs,
I'm certified on a number of different Mitel products, except NuPoint. Can someone explain to me why the versions seem weird. Below are pictures of what I mean.

You see how if I check the version in the example below via the NuPoint Console that it shows it as 18.1.0.23.01?

...and when I log into Mitel On Line (MoL) to find documentation on the systems it shows as 8.x.

So that's what I'm talking about, why is that? Seems confusing, unless I'm missing something here. How does one go about correlating them?

Thanks,
-Iron

Click the question mark icon on the NuPoint version screen.

Hi VinceWhirlwind,
Haha, of course.....duh, it would have been that easy! To those that would like a visual, see below.

So, when you click the question mark...

Maybe in future versions eh? ;) (Yeah right.....not gonna hold the breath on that one!)

Build does not equal version... But in general the version is build less the first digit, meaning 18.1.0.23.01 is version 8.1, 17.0.12.04 would be 7.0, etc.

Hi acejavelin,
That's kinda what I first thought too. But then, I'm still relatively new to the NuPoint though. I hope to get cert'd on it soon!  :)

Thanks,
