Title: DSP Alarm on MXeIII
Post by: brogerson on October 27, 2016, 09:26:55 AM
I just put in a new MXe III at a site with 90 IP Phones, 111 Mailboxes with and Embedded PRI card.  I have a minor DSP alarm telling me I have 5 DSP's and one is unavailable.

The DSP Status maintenance command shows there are 4 DPS and all are available,  I believe the PRI has a DSP which could be causing the alarm but I am not sure.

The controller has 1 built-in DSP module that shows up as slot 7. Compare the "Show Status DSP" with the Hardware Modules form to see which one is not coming up. I normally try a reboot before replacing the bad module, sometimes that takes care of the alarm.

In our CXi demokit we have no SDP modules installed but have 8 Compression licenses, unless we set the number of used Compression licenses to 0, we have minor "DSP status" alarm.

The Show Status DSP command shows all four DSP's are available, reboots and Upgrade BootRom have not cleared the Alarm.

There are 8 Compression Licenses but none are in use and there were only three sets in a Compression zone that have been changed back to Default and the compression programming has been cleared.

There is one dsp on the resilient T1 single framer. At least their used to be from the early days.

I believe there is a DSP on the Combo card but this one is a Dual Framer
