Hi
We have a 3300CXi and I'd like to put a configuration in place that delivers the following:
* Inbound call (internal or external) dials extension (e.g. x3005)
* extension ring 4 times (this seems to be the default on our system anyway) and then diverts to another extension (e.g. x3000)
* x3000 rings 4 times and then if unanswered, diverts to the voicemail for x3000 - not x3005 as seems to be the default behaviour.
Same behaviour applies if x3005 is busy. Would appreciate any assistance you're able to offer.
Thanks in advance!

Break the integration by setting up a name tag hunt group with a number of *3000 and the divert *3000 to always voicemail (number). Divert 3000 to *3000 on busy/no answer. IIRC.
You will of course have to do this t every extension you require.
If you wnt to do it a lot then best to get NuPoint and do it in there. I'm not trained in nupoint but someone else will jump in that is.

Thanks.
But x3000 is our general/main number.......I can't do a 'divert always' to voicemail.
To be clear, the originally dialled extension should divert to the main number. The main number then rings for four rings and then diverts to the main number's voicemail.
Cheers

You're forwarding *3000 not 3000.
There's some special magic when using the '*'.

smoke and mirrors are involved as well ;)

I think all that magic started after Terry Matthews hired Harry Potter to work at Mitel.
