Hi folks
Is it possible to control the fan speed on the 3300? Our unit sounds like it's about to take off. I've used other brand units in the past that I haven't even been able to hear running. But this one is really noisy.
Cheers

That seems very unusual, most 3300's are barely audible... But I don't know of any way to control the fan speed. Which chassis?

If its that noisy check for a fan alarm. Is the light on the unit flashing red?
Sounds(sic) like the fan is either touching something it shouldn't (yes I have seen this) or its on its way to the knackers yard.

It's the CX chassis. If you have the unit on the desk next to you, you cannot hear anything/anyone else. Just raging fans. No alarms or anything. Just noisy. And the speed never changes, just always on.
I called my dealer to ask them if it's meant to sound like it's going to take off and they told me "yeah I can hear ours when they're running. But you never know. We'd have to send someone out to look at it."

I think the older CX controllers (not CX II) were noisier because they only had one fan, less air holes and ran at higher speed.
CX II controllers have 2 fans, more air holes and are a lot quieter.

It must be the CX II. It definitely has 2 fans and two sets of holes.

Had a new chassis where the fan was hitting wires and causing a lot of noise
