Title: Block inbound calller ID for one number
Post by: Frontline on August 17, 2016, 02:18:18 PM
This is one I haven't run in to before. New customer/install. Office 250 with a PRI, version 6.2.2.13

They have a block of DID's and want to use one of them as  "compliance" line where individuals can call in and anonymously leave a voice message about a compliance issue. One of the stipulation of this line is that no one can know who placed the call/left the message so they don't want any caller ID for these calls.

Is there a system level way to block caller ID, but just for one DID? I don't think it is possible but thought I would pose the question to all of you  ;D

Any input appreciated

Thanks

Frontline,

Create a hunt group with your 4 built in single line ports. Physically connect your 4 single line ports to your 4 loop start ports. Turn off Caller ID on the loop start lines so it wont pass it. Create a CO trunk group with the 4 loop start ports and send the calls to where you need them.

Thanks,

TE
