Title: Setting up a simple greeting for a support line
Post by: JoeMatthews on August 12, 2016, 05:11:25 PM
Hi,
Whats the best way to go about the following:

1. User dials support line on 6350.
2. Greeting is played and then forwards onto a ring group.
3. If call is not answered its sent to a VM.

Many thanks in advance!
Joe

As johnp suggest, it may depend on your VM.

I've done it with embedded VM ports used as RADs and queued the call to an ACD group long enough to play the message and interflow to where you want it.

My thought was the same as Ralph's as to what I'd do.

Yes sorry it's the embedded voicemail ports!

Have you done the NuPoint training course?
From memory, this is very similar to the scenario they get you to do in the course, so you should have a step by step for this in your NuPoint Lab courseguide.

If your controller is new, you likely have available ports that can be used for rads without the need for a DSP. The help file sould give all info to make this happen as Ralph described.

Oops, I didn't see the bit where you said it was embedded.
