Title: Mitel Embedded VM with 3rd Party PBX via SIP
Post by: ralph on May 24, 2016, 11:53:00 AM
Has anyone see where a 3rd party PBX is connected to a 3300 via SIP and using the embedded VM?

Something like Asterisk -->>3300.

I need to do this and I'm looking for how it may be done.
I'd need forward to VM box on RNA/Busy and message waiting lamps.

Don't think that this will work as MB can only be added to a known DN. If this can be setup then tha SIP connection must be set to Private mode.(internal used connection)

I haven't heard of that.  How is that configured?

On the SIP Peer profile. On the Tab Call Routing you should set the option Private SIP Trunk to YES. Calls over that connection will ring like an internal call.
