Client has square system, and 8528 phones. Tech is having an issues getting the Green LEDs active.
Main issue is when a user places a call on Hold, it flashes the same color (Red) and cadence as other calls on hold.
Tech has checked flags and Dual Color LEDS are selected. What are we missing?

8528 and 8568 don't have green LEDs.

That's probably why it won't work, and my oversight.
Anyway to change the cadence of the button so a busy receptionist would know what call he/she put on hold?

Not on a squared system.
When the 8528s first came out, no one knew that the phones don't have green LEDs. We had to swap out all of the phones on a new install with 8520s, due to the very same problem you're having. The 8520 is a better phone anyway.

All true, except the 8520 is discontinued... Not available from Mitel or your designated vendor.
I believe the only 2-color options now are 5330/5340/5360.
