Hi
We have a Out of Hours Phone Ext. which gets forwarded to 3 different mobile depending who is on call. The issue i have is that when someone calls the OOH number it gets forwarded to our mobile s as the main work number and not the number who actually called.
Is there a way to program some sort of pass through so we can see on 9out mobiles what is actually the original callers number.
Thanks
-
yes you can but depending on your lines type and provider (I assume BT ISDN or SIP in this case) you will have problems because BT won't allow you to send the number out on the line if its not in your range resulting in a failed call. There is a form you can fill in which should allow you to do what you want but you may have difficulty in getting it off BT. Your SIP provider (if SIP) may be more lax but you could well run up against the same problem.

Thanks
Our Provider is Sure in Guernsey. And we don't use SIP currently. ALternatively what other methods could we use ie multi device or something similar. But i take it that would require additional micollab and mibg?

Replace Incoming CPN with Original Dialed Number in ISDN protocol settings and see if it works. (Euro ISDN only) If the call fails then you will have to involve Guernsey Telecom to get them to allow the option to work.
-
we use BRI-ISDN will it not work for that?
-
if it is euro isdn it will work....can you check with your supplier as to protocol?
-
Hi I have checked with our Provider and we are currently being providers 4x EURO ISDN's and being sent 3 digits. But the option to tick
Replace Incoming CPN with Original Dialed Number in ISDN protocol settings
What am i doing wrong lol
-
Check your country setting. Licence and Options. Assuming you are saying you don't have the option in ISDN protocol. You did check in the BRI setting and not another in their?
-
COuntry set to UK and please see attached pic of ISDN protocol settings
-
see that box that says 'replace external CLID'' thats what you are looking for. Must be very old software. They keep changing the way they say the same thing.
-
Hi
I have left it unticked as ticking it seems to indicate that it offers passthough when unchecked.
See attached.

you are correct. what level of software are you on?
-
Mivb 7.2 sp2 pr1 or the most recent only did update 2/3 weeks ago
-
I just checked on two systems and they both have the required part of the form so I am stumped I'm afraid.
-
were those systems bri or pri and did they say the same as what my initial attachment did. It may be a configuration thing.
-
Both with Bri. Both forms look the same as yours except the include the replace incoming cpn near the bottom of the form. One is release 5.0 Pr1 and the other is 7.0 something that came up from release 5.0. Interestingly both say isdn-bri on the protocol form and no other options available and I can't find the form that I remember where ther were options for euro isdn (maybe you only get that one if a Pri is fitted.
So the protocol form is the same except for the said missing option.
-
Ive been on to 3 clients now and the ones with a E1 Pri have the option and are set to ISDN Node in the integrated Digital Access
And the the others are 4 x ISDN BRI and are set to BRI Node and have the option i attached, i guess it is only possible with PRI and across a E1
I have to check what the cost difference is and offer the solution.
Thanks x-man for your help
-
Neither of the switches I looked have ever had Pri but still have that option. So its a configuration error somewhere. Which is why I asked you to check the country because its only available in UK software.
-
That should be euro isdn of course. Now if you look at the protocol and variants form there is no euro isdn except for T1 BUT the isdn bri is for
Telecom Australia
Telecom Italia
So it should default to euro isdn and give you the option in the form.
I have looked ata earlier one and that does give the option for euro isdn in the BRI protocols as well as isdn-bri. So it looks like one of my switches was a carry over from an earlier release but i am sure the other one was a straight 5.0 pr1 install unless it came with early software and I upgraded it straight away...can't remember now.
Do you have up to date SWA as it might be worth opening a ticket with Mitel about it?
-
yeah our swa is upto date will log it with them and see Thanks
