Title: Intertel 5000 DSCP value
Post by: FirstSource on April 21, 2016, 04:34:05 PM
I want to setup my Inter-tel for QOS, I set the Data Type of Service (TOS) to 184. Will this do the trick?

FirstSource,

I assume that you are referring to the IP Connection settings and yes you would want to make sure that is set to 184, but you also want to set the Audio RTP Type of Service as well so the audio also is set for QoS.

System > Devices and Feature Codes > IP Connections > P6xxx > Audio RTP Type of Service: 184

System > Devices and Feature Codes > IP Connections > P6xxx > Data Type of Service: 184

We always keep these set in our default database that way so when calls leave the network they have a better chance of trying to maintain some semblance of QoS.

Thanks,

TE

Thanks Tech

I have setup the MPLS connection between our two offices but when I connect a phone at the new office it cannot find my phone system database (10.1.1.2)...

Phone displays
My IP Address:
10.1.3.24
Finding Local IP Card on UDP Port 5567

Local IP card Not Found

Local IP Card Addr Invalid

What do I need to do to get the phones to find my phone database at 10.1.1.2?

FYI, I can ping 10.1.1.2 from the remote office with no issues

Please disregard, I was able to manually program the phones to pick up the database IP. Thanks agian for your help TE

The phones don't just "find" the system, you need to either define option 43 or 125 for the phones at the new site with the proper information, or place the phones in Teleworker mode (hold 7 on boot) and enter the phone system's IP address.

I was able to program the IP of the phone system by holding down 7. This solved the issue. Thanks
