Title: Mitel 5000 - red button not on when user is on a phone call
Post by: nrgymover on February 25, 2016, 01:13:25 PM
Hello,

Using a Mitel 5000 system.  On our 5320e IP Phones in our 'Alternate Maps' section I'm able to see if users are on the phone because the buttons will light up red.  However it's not working for one particular user.  Can someone point me to the section where I need to configure this.  Thank you.

Patrick

nrgymover,

Are you saying that they don't have an alternate map when the button is pressed or are the PKM keys not working properly?

Look to make sure that the users Alternate Keymap is the one that all the others are using.

Thanks,

TE

And remember that the top 3 keys on a 5320 do not have a light associated with them, the key works but there is no light in the device.

Acejavelin,

I talked to a engineer about that once and the answer was that the phone was designed for the 3300 which uses those top 3 keys as soft-keys so they don't need to light up and thus it saves them money on the LEDs.

Thanks,

TE
