Title: Dial Out Digit
Post by: evan631 on January 07, 2016, 10:37:54 AM
I need to change our dial out digit on one of our 3300s in  cluster.  Currently one of our offices are using # to get an outside dial tone.

We are looking to get them on Mitel UCA, and apparently # cannot be used in the system.

The particular office is using # because they were calling 911 on avg about 10 times a day.  We are under the impression that they cannot use 5 because of their extensions begin with 5.

What would it take to change their dial out digit, and is there any digits we cannot use.  We have extensions in the cluster that begin with 14xx, 15xx 31xx, 38xx, 400xx, 4100, 52xx, 53xx, 63xx, 65xx, 88xx.  We also have many vm ports and hunt groups for that. Not sure if we should be concerned with any of these.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks Ralph!

That seems like a simple enough fix.  Not sure our legal dept would allow a 5 sec delay to 911, but I will look into it.

The delay can be shortened.
I think the lowest it can go is 2 seconds.
