Hi All
In short we need to upgrade our Mitel 3300 CX-II box to the latest release. We are being screwed over by BT asking us for nearly £800 for them to do it themselves so hoping some people here have some insight on how to do this as we are hoping to do the upgrade ourselves.
Does anyone know where you can find the download for the latest software release for this particular box??
Thanks,
-
I don't think that is something you'll be able to do on your own.
You'll need software assurance and BT will need to be sure you have it before you upgrade.

We do have SA.

What version are you running now? I believe version 4.0 or earlier requires a database upgrade prior to the software upgrade. If you are running a version newer than that, the upgrade should be no problem as long as you have software assurance in case an issue arises.
The have an upgrade tool you can download that does the upgrade. Make sure you have a good backup first, but the upgrade is not bad at all.

This is not something a customer should attempt on their own... It requires AMC changes and since it is currently 4.0, potentially significant database changes prior to upgrading. I highly recommend getting your vendor to perform this for you.

Considering the work that may be involved, not to mention the risk to your business if it doesn't go smoothly, that quote seems reasonable.

From another place it appears its on 4.2; I suspect that this is the initial load so should have been set up with SDS...but then this is Bt so all bets are off.

If you are on 4.2 it will be a one step upgrade to 7.2.
Sorry to hear you are with BT.
