Title: Configuring a new DDI range into the PBX
Post by: MBholah on October 29, 2015, 10:57:06 AM
Hi Mitel experts!

Ive been given a new DDI range to use for one of our offices in Singapore. I was wondering how easy is it to set this up if we have enough user licenses on the mitel ?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated ?

I only administer the mitel and I would like to save on having to ask our vendors if I can do it myself.

Thanks,
Manny

A DDI range is just a range of direct dial phone numbers, it in itself has no impact on licensing assuming you care using an existing PRI or SIP connection. The new numbers would be mapped to the users like your other numbers, probably via system speed call if they do not match extension numbers.

I think you are misunderstanding... DDI only gives you phone numbers that are dialable and routed to your system so it can handle them, you could have 1000+ numbers to one user if you wish... if you want to add users, even Hot Desk users, you may/will need additional licenses.

Log into ESM and go to the licensing section and look at system capacities, it will tell you do sure.
