Title: Merging two calls
Post by: JasonTL on September 23, 2015, 03:37:09 PM
I have a colleague with an issue with call merging.

This is the scenario. If I pick up the phone and call extension 500 and they answer. I say hold on one second, press the transfer button, call extension 525 and say I have Dave on the other line, press the transfer button again, then merge the calls it does not merge. However if I hang the phone up, the other two parties are online together but I am off. It will not merge all 3 of us, but will merge those twp parties.

Are they in different tenants?
Are they interconnect restricted?
Does everyone have the same COS?

I do not have direct access to the controller. Its a question for a colleague.

He did mention it worked correctly internally extension to extension, only occurs with external calls.

I have him checking into the COS settings.

Odds are pretty good that there is some restriction that blocks him from using the trunk.
I'd look at tenants and interconnection also.
