Title: One users extension cannot leave voicemail for anyone
Post by: itguy01 on September 10, 2015, 05:56:46 PM
I'm new to Mitel (coming from Avaya) and I've figured out a few issues but this one has me stumped. I have one user/extension that cannot leave a voicemail for anyone. The call rings until the point where voicemail just pick up then it shows our voicemail extension. I've compared her settings to a few others and it seems correct but there are sooo many settings I'm sure I'm missing something.

Any ideas?

Are you saying that the user calls an extension, it rings, rolls to VM and then you get answered by auto attendant?

Hi, sorry it took so long to get back. I must have missed the reply notification.

This user will call another user and the call will just ring and ring, no VM or auto-attendant ever picks up. It doesn't matter who the user calls, if the phone isn't answered by someone it will just ring until they hang up. I can call all the same extension and everything works, VM picks up after 5 rings and I can leave a message.

I would suspect that something is different about 1) COS  2) Interconnect Restriction or 3) Tenant.

Check those things.

Thanks for the help Ralph. I did check those three items but it didn't resolve our issue.

I did some more digging around and found the issue though! The network wasn't added to the "Trusted Networks" under Configuration. Once I added the network, the user was able to leave voice messages.

Thanks!
