All of a sudden all of my users (including me) are experiencing a feedback when dialing out as if the speakerphone is on. This problem makes it impossible to call out because the interval changes from the actual call to the feedback every second or so. I have rebooted the intertel box which did not fix it.
example of problem:
User presses speaker or picks up handset to dial out
dialtone is heard as normal
user dials outgoing number
user experiences a clicking noise (as if the mic is active to the actual caller, they can hear themselves)
click
back to call
click
back to mic
so on and so forth...
once the intended recipeint picks up the issue still remains.
user cannot hear the recipient through the clicking/mic noise
any thoughts?

FirstSource,
Are these digital phones or IP phones? Also it would be nice to know what style as well as the version of software that is running on the system.
Thanks,
TE

What kind of trunks, analog, PRI, or SIP? If analog, did you run the balance and loss tests to set the levels?

We've had some audio squealing with digital endpoints running on certain versions More info needed as TE requested.

Disregard apparently it was an outage with my data provider that was affecting the outgoing calls. Whew!
Thanks anyways
